Get him while we can, he'll not make our team any worse. We lack lethal pace and he has it to burn!

Really nice to see Lamela playing well, even if it is in a Spuds shirt. Super exciting young talent, was so good in his last season at Roma.

QPR getting hammered...good stuff :)

I didn't rate Di Maria from what I saw at the world cup.

Di Maria is excellent, and was outstanding for Madrid last season. He's unquestionably not what they should be spending £60m on when they already have Mata in that position though. Di Maria could also play RW if they switch to a 433 but whatever they do they're still 2-3 centre backs and 2-3 central midfielders away from having a squad to challenge for the title.

Man Utd are playing awful again. No pace in the passing or movement and lots of simple mistakes.

Really looks like we may well need 2 CB's, a Wing Back and another CM to sure things up. Gonna be another long season

I know that we look really average in most positions, but it's really getting on my nerves how much pure unabashed glee is in the commentators voices when they talk about United's problems.

I know that it's more that they love to have a narrative to chew on like a dog with a bone more than anything, but it's really boring to listen to these twats who have just spent 50 minutes saying "Man, United really are quite poor aren't they?"

You've only had it for one season and two games, had put up with the same shit for over 9 years at Arsenal. Fed up with commentators saying the same drivel over an over again every week.

The problem is you've more or less played the same over that period and generally suffered the same weaknesses over that time.

Pretty insane goal for Eibar in the game vs Real Sociedad just now, if anyone finds a gif post it up. :O

Yeah but so is your face!

Sadly that is the best I can come up with for that statement. Our inability to change our playstyle is really frustrating.

CL qualification every year on a budget whilst building a strong future. I have always had faith that it will get better. Yep, we still have problems but we are spending and getting good players in.

I don't think that is the problem mate. His stubborness is. Look at last season Liverpool smashed us, for City we chaged style and took a really good point, then what two weeks later we went to Chelsea and tried our normal style which saw Liverpool rape us and we got destroyed. In some games he needs to realise we can't play beautiful attacking football with our team of 5ft6 classy players. Sometimes you need to ugly it up a bit. All the other teams have that player who can get stuck in when they need them too and they can change and play a different style. Liverpool are particularly good at changing during the match. If in the Liverpool match after 10 inutes he had told us to sit back and keep the ball we could have maybe done something, instead we carried on attacking and carried on getting rapped.

If he could buy a solid defence minded midfield general and admit that some teams will out play us so we just need to defend and nick a goal we would be a lot better off.

I hope we can manage to get away with 1 point tonight, or at least a close game over 90 minutes. Can't remember the last time we won at Ethiad :(

Don't know how thrilled i am about potentially signing him... He's an excellent player obviously but seems to be a right greedy bastard, i don't know how much of a chunk his wages would be, unless we got him on a pay as you play basis with an okay wage...

Problems with free signings is they want signing bonuses and big wages. I would not be suprised if he is on £100k and I doubt you would get him pay as you play I don't think he is old enough not to get a better offer. Maybe £50k a week and a goal bonus or something but I doubt it.

Brilliant 2nd goal for City. Looked like there was no threat and five seconds later the ball is in the back of the net

Ugh, first and third goal were so shit to concede. Second goal was excellent though...
Still looked better than the result suggested imho, ahead of the sucker punch that was the first goal I thought we were the better team (without really threatening though).

We seem to want to develop in to somethong Barcelona-lite, as soon as the ball reaches one of our strikers on the penalty box line we instantly pass it back to midfield who then proceeds to pass it back to the centrebacks. Need to attack with speed!

Moreno and Markovic looked quite good (even though Morena was responsible for first goal).
