You could have De Jong for about 10m who would be so much more useful to your side. Should buy a player like Carvalho to improve that midfield rather than trying to get Vidal who will be difficult and command an extreme salary.

You don't need Cavani's, Di Marias, Falcaos, they'll all come and get pissed off because the rest of the team is awful.

Also, his tactics are so off the pace, everyone knows 3 at the back doesn't work in the PL. International football is a whole different ball game to EPL.

True that United don't need the Cavanis and Falcaos (yet), but they do need proper authority in mid-field that someone like a Vidal (or Strootman) provides. As for the defence, agree about De Jong, and I wouldn't be surprised if a couple of players of his type are in before the window closes; I bet Van Gaal was on the phone to Woodward about 10 seconds after that game ended to remind him to get his fucking finger out because this is all he's got right now.

Di Maria is a fantastic player, I just wonder if he is regretting his decision. And I have no fucking idea what De Gea has done wrong, it's like people criticising Lloris last season when the defenders in front of him were all over the place and offering zero protection.

He's their marquee signing but he's going to have to go a season without Europe and maybe at least another without CL (wild speculation based on 3 competitive matches). United will get their shit together, there's no doubt about it, but he isn't enough to improve them as a whole. And their defense is and will be shit without improvements.
