They have spent more than UTD in the last 5 years, by some 55 million.

Not if you take into account "net spend"

A rumour my mate working at the Emirates told me is that Wiltshires contract talks lasted 15 minutes. I would like to believe it is true and that he is a Mr Arsenal. but other than that players will be loyal for as long as it suites them.

meh, net spend fair enough. It still shows that money spent (net or gross) doesn't necessarily mean success. I mean, Stoke (shite) Villa (Shite) yet in top 5 net spends. Arsenal a 21m profit yet finish top 5 every year.

Also pretty funny when Turamber babbles on about buying success and it turns out Villa have spent the 4th most amount of money (net) in the last 5 years :D

United have paid out over £500 million to service the Glazer's debits in the last 6-7 years, it's fucking depressing.

I'd like to see how those figures are worked out. We spent a lot in the O'Neill period but then we had to as the squad was shit. Since then the best players have been sold and little reinvested.

So Reading sign Pogrebnyak, Norwich sign Jacob Butterfield (amazing young talent, not sure Norwich need him though with Hoolahan and Howson already). Annoying to see these free agents/cheap young players going and no noise coming out of Southampton about bolstering the squad.

Some great rumors today. City have made an unofficial £15m offer for RVP. Arsenal have hired a private detective to look into a reported meeting between City and RVP's Agent. If the meeting happened and we report City then they can get a two year transfer ban.

And Liverpool have made a £17m offer for Theo who has handed in a transfer request.

They are some gossipy butches at the Emirates lol.

Add to that Vertongen back in talks with Ajax, Oscar reporting spurs have made an offer and AVB and Ferguson apparently interested in Joao Moutinho and the rumour mill is really hotting up!
