I'm sure just about every big name players gets linked to Monaco at some point in their career, it won't happen.

Seems like there might be a lot of work for Moyes over the next couple of seasons. Anderson and Nani looked set to leave although could change under new management, Scholes will probably also be off. Their current core of Rio - Carrick - RVP are all fairly old and they'll need to consider thinking of replacing them. Giggs and Evra can't carry on forever, and then there's Rooney.

I really hope Rooney does fuck off. Use the money from him to bring in Baines. As a United fan I'm perfectly happy to see how a defense of DeGea - Rafael - Jones - Smalling - Baines develops for a few years. I agree with DaGaffer in that Carrick should be an ok stopgap for a few years in the center controlling things while they revamp the teams. He'll always get shown up in some big games but for the majority of the season he keeps us ticking.

Nani, Young, Anderson need to be shipped out and Evra, Rio, Giggs and scholesy need to start taking a back seat to the younger players get more time.

A lot to do.

It looks like Nani and Anderson will definitely be shipped out but I'd be surprised if Young is given the boot just yet. Scholes is going to retire for good this time. Got to admit, I'd quite like to see a Carrick, Fellaini, Kagawa midfield...

I still rate Cleverly as a good player who could develop into a good player for United. There times at the start of the season when both he and Anderson seemed to be breathing a new life into the center of the park. Anderson just isn't consistent enough though. You're right Young probably won't be booted just yet. I think Valencia had a bad season but should be given at least one more to see if he can get back into form.

That could be a good midfield trio I guess but in my mind at least, they are lacking that one player who can win a game with a moment of magic. I know RVP has that, but I've always thought you need that from the midfield to be a really great team. I'd love to see a Mata/Silva/Ozil/Gotze/Iniesta/(Maybe even Robben?) type player at United, or a player in that mold.

I agree with you regarding Cleverly and Anderson, Anderson just isnt consistent enough. Maybe he just needs a run of games.

He has looked unfit at the start of the last few seasons, maybe he doesn't look after himself in the break.

Benteke must end up at one of the top 6 next season, absolute beast.

What's with benitez teams ducking against relegation contenders? Top teams are fine but anyone weaker and it's points dropped.

As a Spurs fan, I know that feeling. I think we've done really well against the big teams (no other team has taken more points from Utd this season afaik) but we've lost some shockers against bottom half teams.

There are loads of excellent Belgian players in the league now. I can see their national team rising up in the FIFA rankings with all that talent (they're only in 15th atm).

Terry could / should have been off but Ramieres was a bit harsh.

What an absolutely awful first half. How Benteke is still on the pitch is beyond a joke. Benitez really needs to actually fuck off and die.

Shouldn't have even reached that point because the Villa player's challenge on Ramires was a foul. Plus Cole was covering so in no way was it a straight red.

Cole was in line and not goal side on the angle I have seen. Could have been given as last man easily.

He was already ahead of them both in terms of the distance to goal.

Super Frankie Lampard. What a day, I thought we'd lost that.
