How much had Alex had before Man U.
That's a bullshit comparison though. If we use your logic then look at Roy Keane. He had no real experience and was crap. You can twist your example to suit my needs or yours.

I would like to think Alex is one of those rare managers who would have done well at any club. His initial period at United was not that great, but he did well in Scotland and showed promise. Moyes has just shown average consistency.

2 league titles with a club other than Rangers or Celtic, and a CWC, beating Bayern and Real on the way... that's more than just doing well.

But on the flip side he's a "club" guy, not a "first team" guy. He's a much better cutural fit with the United management style than anyone else available, except, although I was joking earlier, Wenger, but he's too old. And don't forget, Fergie isn't going to be gone, so Moyes will have help with the CL stuff, but I think he's enough of his own man to deal with Fergie interference.

I think you make a good point, but I fear Moyes will be too heavily influenced by Fergie. I want the new manager to walk in (like Mourinho would) and say "ok this is what I'm going to do with the team/formation/tactics".
With Moyes I worry he will just try and continue the tactics Fergie uses.

You might be saying "But Fergie wins trophies!!!"...True, but I don't think we do well enough in Europe. Teams who press well or pass well cause us no end of trouble :(

Ok poor choice of words by me, but it does not affect the meaning of the message.

Sorry I am sounding like a dick here. Typing this out quickly as I'm trying to watch the half time goals lol

Sounds like both clubs wanted to announce this week so the fans have a chance to say their goodbyes at the last home game of the season.

Sorry but no, trying to show an example of twisting by using Roy Keane as an example hardly helps your case nor does your comparison to Fergie doing better in the SPD compared to Moyes who has been keeping a good position in the EPL in modern times.

I still think Moyes suits you better than Mourinho, it'll certainly be an interesting season what happens.

Lol that 'IS' the point though. You said how much experience Alex had before Man Utd (basically saying give Moyes a chance yeah?) but the opposite is Roy Keane who was given a chance and failed.

The point I am making is just because Fergie was given a chance, it does not mean Moyes and everyone else should.

Feels like a loss. You have to wonder if Benitez is actually trolling Chelsea fans with those subs. Should have won with all the chances we made.

Sorry but it is utterly retarded to bring Roy Keane in as an example of anything he isn't Alex or Moyes Pre Man U and his history matches neither......Moyes isn't just an anyone.

After missing so many chances and outplaying Spurs for the majority of the game it feels really shitty to draw (especially when Adebayor was offside for the flick to set up the goal), but if someone had offered me 4 points from the past two games I'd have been happy with it beforehand TBFH.

So Rooney appears to want out again?

I think he'll be off to Paris since they're apparently shipping out Zlatan, makes no sense though as Rooney would probably command the same/similar wages..

I though French football was about to be a ghost town with the new Tax on footballers. Even PSG have limits on spending and giving Rooney £200k take home when he has to pay 70% tax will be a whole load of money.

It can be avoided though, having no permanent residency in France apparently means you can avoid the tax system? I can't remember if that's true or not.

I don't think residency matters; income tax is usually purely a result of the number of days you spend in a country, regardless of address.

Isn't there a town on the Belgian side of the border that's becoming a haven for French millionaires?
