congrats on being the first Danes in the CL :)

The danish lot will be going absolutely nuts tonight.

Well done the danes!

good win Cop even if it was for my team that i support in Greece.

Thanks all :)

Have no voice left, hungover, tired, got an entire day of work ahead of me writing our school project that is due in 8 days, but I couldn't care less tbh..

We're in the Champions League 1/8 finals and I don't care who we will face, I am sure the boys will do their best. No matter who we will meet I will be going on the away trip as well as the home game

Fuck yeah....

He's only 19 i think

he's 22 actually, but he looks 14 :p

Still, the abramovich family is one of the 50 richest in the world, so he has plenty of cash.

How so? Best player in his team who won the treble. Best player for his country who reached the world cup final?

Iniesta was injured most of the season, had little impact but scored one important goal. Him being nominated seems to undermine the efforts of the rest of the Spanish team imo, David Villa for example, did far more for Spain at the world cup.

yep he won the trible, but he only played a horrible semi in Coppa Italia and wasn't even playing in the return match - in fact, he only played 5 minutes of the final.

As for the CL, he was overshadowed by Milito - Just look at the final.
And the World cup final? well, you hardly noticed him because of Busquets.

Still some good accomplishments, but keep in mind he has been absolutely shit for the last 6 months. He has not scored from any open play situations in Serie A in 2010. That says a lot.

There are players who deserves it more in my opinion, and I think the voting system is pretty fair to be honest.

Alan 'Couldn't even take the best squad by far in league 1 to the playoffs, because i substitute a striker for a defender in every game and concede and then draw.' Pardew.

Experienced.

Surely the massive outcry from the fans will force the board to reconsider this. They've got 24 hours before making it official.

If you were Hughton you'd be mighty pissed off.

I thought it would be hard to top Real "game over, insert another £400m and try again" Madrid as the biggest laughing stock in world football, but Newcastle have certainly come close.

if Madrid will be a failure (not to win any serious title) again what things do you think that Florentino Perez will change ?

1) Manager ?
2) Players ?
3) Himself ?

There is more chance of England winning the world cup than there is of Messi joining Real Madrid.

They were not brought up from Barca's youth system though.

I think that Fat Ash and the Newcastlol board have shown they could give a shit what the fans of the club want or think. Its hard not to feel sorry for the "Geordie Nation". Only thing thats stopping me is the fact im red and white and find the whole thing highly amusing.

Was the same with Figo and Laudrup, right..?

Totally different circumstances as Wonk pointed out. Messi is Barca through and through. I can categorically say with 100% conviction that there is no chance he would join RM, unless he does a Ronaldinho and implodes and becomes a bad influence, but that is never gonna happen. Messi is totally down to earth. Doesnt drink and shys away from the spotlight.

I could see someone like Dani Alves joining Real Madrid but not any other of our star players.

Still cant get over newcaslol

If Newcastle were going to replace Hughton with a Jol or O'Neill, Hughton's sacking would have been a harsh but brave decision.

Sacking Hughton for Pardew though is a joke. Appointing him because he's your casino buddy makes it even worse. There's nothing in Pardew's career that makes him a suitable NUFC manager.

Newcastle can have Houllier. I'll make him a croissant and give him a replica Liverpool shirt for him to fantasise over whilst I drive him up.

I think there is plenty

Throwing away games.
Instilling misguided faith in supporters.
Crushing that faith.

It's a shame really as I quite like Newcastle but they do pick some awful managers.

I'm just hoping against hope that the media have the wrong end of the stick here, IN WHAT PARALLEL DIMENSION IS ALAN PARDEW HIGH PROFILE....

I am going to love the hate from the Geordie's against ashley come saturday's game.

I do believe that short of martin o'neil, that anyone he installs now will result in a massive backlash.
