Thats a bit harsh, Aquilani actually looks pretty good in that football kit so it isn't a total writeoff.

His wages are exceptionally high for his skill level so I am told, by a friend who is an Everton fan. They probably wanted to bring the wage bill down or sold him to enable them to bring at the same skill level on lower wages.

Not feeling too confident about tonight, but even a close defeat with a goal or two should be decent result with the second leg being at home.

And yes I know the league cup is a weak competition, but the chance of going to Wembley is a big carrot. With the big four and their filthy lucre dominating every competition in sight we have to take this seriously.
