And so it should be left until after the world cup. The English press trying to damage our world cup chances is getting pretty old.

ROFL you be lucky to get in Shit ground 12,000 at most so enjoy weekend on the pier you wouldn't get in the ground.

Also you Wolves faggot we meet again :kissit: If Jones keeps most squad it automatic promotion instead of going to Wembley.

Soulja

I know, was a shithole last time we went, they had one stand and some half arsed patch that we had, fucking freezing.

Rather yer lot come up, would have made it interesting, but have to lol at Jones bottling it again.

Sorry, been away in Greece.

Megadave, I dont know about Yaya. I still rate him more than Keita but im not a manager so what do I know lol. WOuld be a shame to lose him but think he would be good in the prem.

Everz, the away stand is still pants at Blackpool but youd think the money they will get will be spent on it. Every summer there is a huge fight in Blackpool between Birmingham, Wolves and Villa fans. Its arranged "underground" and a particular pub becomes a warzone lol

As for the Gerrard rumours, I think there is something in them personally.

I would hate to see him leave obviously but i do hope if he does he will not fall for any of the barcelona crap to reduce the price.

But the "fans" giving him grief are pond scum and i hate to be associated with them.

Sky Sports | Football | Primera Division | News | Real confirm Pellegrini departure

Unsurprising given the circumstances with Mourinho 'available'.

But still, sacking a manager who's dropped 26(?) points all season, finishing only 3 behind Barcelona and they have the audacity to say they need a fresh impulse in the club?

Joke club, would love it if Mourinho changed his mind now :D

Pelegrini lost all the 6 key matches of the season including a shameful lost vs a 3rd division team. With the team at his disposal any coach would win 3-0 vs Almeria and the likes.

You are all deluded, Cesc is good at talking shit up. He simply does not want negative press before the World Cup. He may well stay at Arsenal, but I no longer think that is due to him wanting to.

Wanting a transfer doesn't make someone a bad guy. Lets face it, Barca will win more trophies than we will and they'll pay him more money than we will. I can't hate him just because he won't stay at Arsenal his entire career.

mourinho@madrid dropping some hints at who he wants to sign including Ashley Cole. Guess we'll see if he really is a mercenary as everyone thinks or not

Boyhood Barca fan, team constantly winning cups and probably one of the best in the world? He'd be a fool not to consider going at all, i'm amazed he lasted this long at Arse tbh.

Wont effect anything, clubs with massive debts like united and liverpool not targetted, teams like chelsea, city and Real will just find ways around it like making sponsorship deals with the owners other buisnesses, that way owners can pay their own club £££££ and increase the profit on paper. The clubs profits will look to shoot up but ofc the owners personal profits will drop but since the owners themselfs not under rules it wont matter.

The only thing this will stop for the good is situations like portsmouth.

I cant see it. Uefa arent stupid and know that this is the biggest "get a round" for what they are proposing. Im sure they will have their auditors working on each set of financial statements to look for transactions with companies involved with their owners. I would imagine the penalties for cheating would be immense and therefore not worth the risk.

Yes, what Marc said. The one good thing about Platini is that he cares about the future of football as a sport and fair competition, this is his big project and I very much doubt he will let it simply be a worthless new rule. Do not underestimate the political power Platini has within UEFA and FIFA.

Related Party Transactions are a required disclosure in all sets of company financial statements. However I'm not sure that sponsorship from another company owned by the major shareholder could be considered to be "cheating", it seems perfectly valid to me.

Ditto other routes they could take, like paying the players wages from a holding company and thus taking them off the club financial statements. It just needs a bit of creative accounting.

I am not sure I like the idea that football would be dominated by the richest clubs, a world where only Man United, Barcelona, Real Madrid and AC Milan can win the European Cup is a piss poor one to envisage.

The only way this could work is if they bring in other measures, such as limiting squad size. The "big four" have squads that other clubs can only dream about and it is killing competition in the domestic leagues.

Isn't a squad size limit being introduced next season in the PL?
