I think it's a 25 squad size with certain requirements, although you can pla as many under 21s as you like.

Surely the financial rules will just cap smaller clubs, ensuring they can never get bigger?

Wont effect anything, clubs with massive debts like united and liverpool not targetted, teams like chelsea, city and Real will just find ways around it like making sponsorship deals with the owners other buisnesses, that way owners can pay their own club £££££ and increase the profit on paper. The clubs profits will look to shoot up but ofc the owners personal profits will drop but since the owners themselfs not under rules it wont matter.

The only thing this will stop for the good is situations like portsmouth.

Cept that real is not owned by any1. Its an old school club.

you think uefa would introduce rules that would prevent Real Madrid from playing in the Champions League? Don't be silly ;)

Real Madrid have massive income anyway.

I thought clubs just have to prove their debt is servable anyway, lots of clubs with massive debt are able to do so. An Aston Villa fan told me that in their current situation they wouldnt be eligible to play in Europe though.

Related Party Transactions are a required disclosure in all sets of company financial statements. However I'm not sure that sponsorship from another company owned by the major shareholder could be considered to be "cheating", it seems perfectly valid to me.

Ditto other routes they could take, like paying the players wages from a holding company and thus taking them off the club financial statements. It just needs a bit of creative accounting.

.

Except its not viable is it, because if the major shareholder pulls out, bang goes the sponsorship, but you still have the wages. Hello Pompey!

As for your second paragraph, yes, this couldhappen but as ive said, it wont happen because you are still relying on a sugar daddy in someway.

No one seems to have mentioned Mclarens mission to win other european leagues... He's moved from Twenty to Wolfsburg.

I dreamt Ryan Giggs came to my local last night. He let me drive his car (which happened to be a peugeot 206) but I reversed it into another car. I only scuffed the bumper though so it didn't matter really. He also seemed to get on really well with my mum.

Interesting email from my friend at Barca. I emailed him on my return from my jollies to ask if he knew anything more on the aguero to chelsea front and he claims he has heard that after missing out on Villa, Man United have joined the chase for him. My friend has been pretty good on the rumours front recently. As I posted a few weeks ago, Mourinho nailed on for Madrid (although most people guessed he would) and Villa to Barca along with Torres and Benetiz to stay at Liverpool (not confirmed yet) and Silva to Real madrid (also not confirmed) so i think there might be something in this.

He also mentioned Mesut Ozils agent has been whoring him about. I had never heard of this guy until I googled him. Seems he might be a bit of a star in the making.

i thought fergie said not to expect any signings

One but it was a longshot because it would be a hard deal to get done. Augero would fit into that category, United will not want to get into a bidding war over him.

Bargain, but untested at this level really. For free though, not really a gamble.

It was probably the same reason he kept hush about Villa but Barcelona was always going to be his favoured destination.

Could be Aguero he's after, could also be Benzema if Jose see's him surplus to requirements now.

What am I missing?

Not much.

Admiral Ackbar is most famous for his: "It's a trap!" line.

Emmanuel Adebayor the arsenal number 25 in the picture was famous for getting caught offside alot.

So the joke is that Adebayor has to have Admiral Ackbar warning him about being offside....

The picture in questions is also part of a blog post moaning about him being offside the whole time.

Beckford does not have the quality to make it in the Championship, let alone the Premier League.

I am quite pleased that many of my predictions have come true this season. I still believe that Silva will go to Madrid or United. Aguero will certainly go Chelsea. Barcelona will swap Ibrahimovic for Fabregas, Arsenal will buy Mata for £15 million and Melo for £20 million.

While Barce my get Cesc, Ibrahimovich will not be part of the deal for 2 reasons we currently have 5 strikers and secondly his wages. He will be paying 25% tax currently no way Wenger agrees to pay him over £200k a week so he keeps his take home.
