head to head and not points difference? no point giving points then :D
<yes i know, you meant goal difference>

Been an easy game for barcelona this. real madrid been very wasteful, got a couple of good breaks and done nothing iwth them.. beyond that barcelona been simply passing it around unbothered.

I agree. I wouldnt say we were far better. We just keep posession better than anyone and if you have as much possession as we do, you will make chances. Real madrid at least 3 chances to score that on another day, they would have

Well, I think thats the end of Pellegrini.

I hope they get Mourinho in. Adding his ego into the mix along with those of Ronaldo, Perez and Raul will make for one hell of a car crash

Always enjoyable to see RM lose at least :)

Messi should've scored one more!

I hate Wembley.

But on the plus side the male toilets have tampon disposal units, now that is forward thinking.

We matched Chelsea for much of the game today but were lacking up front. Gabby, Carew and Heskey are all carrying injuries and it showed. I don't understand why we didn't change our tactics with ten minutes or so to go - what was there to lose? I'm beginning to think the manager might be lacking for the big occasions.

Rumours that were circulating a while ago about Mourinho taking that job were that Perez would pretty much be told where to go when it comes to transfers :p

Had some friend of a friend stuff too that Gerrard's next destination will be Spain, probably naff all in it but you'd imagine it'll be Madrid or Milan should he move on.

Ive seen Ronaldo hit the deck about 10 times this game from hard tackles. I wonder if he will moan to Marca about how he gets no protection?

Let's face it, Marca will print the story either way.

Evans is good, but he is no Pique. Like Corran it annoys me greatly that we let him and Rossi go. Yes we have first option on both of them, but considering (especially Pique) performances, it is unlikely either will be for sale. If Fergie had convinced Pique to stay for one more year, or simply loaned him to barca, then he would be a first team regular by now in place of an injured, unfit Rio.

Still 7 game to go aren't there Vasc? Obviously considering the head 2 head record, it will take an immense slip up from Barca, but the chance is there.

What is your thoughts on the league this season? Don't you feel it has been very very boring over there? Barca and Real are ridiculously beyond the other teams. With over 20 points between Real and Valencia in 3rd. I don't give Spanish football more than a couple of years if it does not sort it's house out. It will go the way of serie A at this rate.

David Moyes is on Goals on Sunday, worth watching. He is talking about his players world cup chances at the moment. Saha and Arteta have just been discussed.

Wish united had a player with that kind of passing quality in our midfield, we truelly do lack that bit of finesse at the moment

Aren't you forgetting something? United had a player who not only bettered Xavi's passing ability, but could score goals too. I appriciate all the hysteria surrounding Barcelona at the moment, but what people forget is that Paul Scholes was a better player than Xavi. Yes, the latter is a good midfielder - but Scholes was world class for much longer and, in my opinion, was a more effective midfielder.

If Carrick continues to improve his game, then I think he can become as good as, if not better, than Xavi. Don't forget that Xavi is 30 - he has been aorund for a while, and anyone who has followed football for a while will know that in previous years, Xavi has failed to impress a lot of people.

Barcelona have some wonderful midfielders in their team, and it's probably why they have been so successful. However, never forget who the real master was - the one who put Barcelona out of the Champions League 2 years ago. I will never forget Messi's sulking face after that game xD.

Seriously Dori. You only just left, you aren't due back for at least another month, so kindly leave, also why not simply block FH via your router so you don't get tempted back.

Arteta is unfortunate that Spain are blessed with so many good midfielders.

If he was any other nationality he would get a world cup squad place imo

I think more people tend to view Paul Scholes as a thug rather than a great midfielder.

LOL.

Talk about thugs from a chelsea fan.

Funny how often you can't come up with anything and just use some sort of strange and weak sweeping generalisation.

I stand by my comment, it is fairly simple that when people other than stary eyed Man U fans think of Scholes they think of his fouls first and then if you are lucky his ability.

That is utter shit.

Apart from Chavs, rat eaters, Leeds scum. I know many anti Utd fans who always pick out Scholes as one of the best players in last 10 years, many also say he should have never quit England.

I think you live in lala land. It is your opinion and maybe people in your circle.
Apart from fearce rivals anyone that I know, fans of any club and from any circle that have an understanding of football, see scholes of having (had) amazing distribution skills and footballing brain, but just completely lacking the ability to tackle.

Remember, Scholes tackles are rarely dangerous like people I wont mention. THey are merely stupid and mistimed.

..
Been a poor game so far today. Blackburn sitting back in numbers and we lacking that creativity. Macheda been completely useless so far and wasted everything that come near him, and we often got no one in the box when the ball goes wide.

Valencia made a mistake in his shop, if he wanted to go for the corner he aimed for he always needed to lift the ball over the keepers legs.

Berbatov could have got a penalty, but really it was more weakness. Bit of strength and he could have got a shot off

I personally never said he wasn't good but it doesn't change the fact he plays like thug at times whether you like it or not and its been more luck than judgement as for not seriously hurting another player same as any danagerous tackle.

If scholes plays like a thug in your opinion, then i dread to think what you believe alot of players are like. Guess you would relate the list of players in my mind to serial killers!

Well looking at Liverpool's lineup i think Fulham will get something from the game.

No Torres?! Kuyt and Benayoun on the bench?

Liverpool for 4th?

My opinion is not dictated by the clubs I support or oppose, unlike most football supporters.

I don't see Liverpool making 4th.

Looks like the title be Chelsea's now.

We really showing nothing in the last third at the moment and going to need a bit of luck to get the win.
Frustrating game to watch given all our possession as it always ended up with no one in the box.

Still don't seal it for Chelsea, simple fact is we've still got hard teams to play but even worse we've not exactly looked that great at times.

one man team

wouldnt say one man team.. one striker team is more like it. Also a mistake not playing Evra as could have used more forward thinking players on the wings. Oshea too defensive when playing a taem that was gonna sit back.

Berbatov was never a good purchase (said it all along), we need a better striker for when Rooney out. Afteral berbatov was hardly ever in the box
