Scholes isnt the only "thug"

I'd only see that once, live at Wembley. What an atrocious "tackle", could have shattered his leg and would have done if it hadn't been in the air. And only a yellow card? Fuck right off Howard Webb.

What a shame Pompey wont be allowed to play in europe next season. The cash would help them no end.

So the europa cup place goes to the league. Its just a ploy from the FA so liverpool will be able to contest the thursday night channel 5 cup.

That said, do you remember when liverpool won the champions league and finished 5th? The factman was saying to the press that "The cup winners should defend their trophy". So if they win the thursday night channel 5 cup and finish 4th in the league, I take it they will be forfitting their champions league place to defend their trophy?

No worries, Liverpool won't finnish 4th :)

I hope they get to play in europe, it be great for the club but that is unlikely to happen.

Sure it not good for the co-efficients as they probably wont get far, but in all honesty I dont care. The club deserves to have something to look forward too. The players have given alot for hte club and this be a nice reward for them next season. Will also help them keep hold of some players.

Marc, whats all this business I've been reading about with Marca seeming to have run a season long campaign to get rid of Pellegrini (I know you know your way around spanish footie :) )

Surely 3 pts behind Barca with what is essentially a "new" team isnt that bad a season is it?

I know Marca is usually a decent barometer of the mood in spanish footy, yet they seem to have shot themselves in the foot with this one???

You are talking about the club who have sacked managers after winning the league and even after winning the champions league. Pellegrini isnt a big enough name for them, he was nothing more than a stop gap imo. To have a career as Real Madrid manager, you have to tick 2 boxes. To win the league and champions league and to play attractive attacking football. If you only tick 1 box, you are out.

It would be bullshit if the 7th placed team get to Uefa Cup(retro ftw) place instead of Pompey. Yes Pompey made a massive balls up in not registering for a license, but they have earned the right to play in Europe next season. Much like Millwall did when they got battered by the Manchester Reds 5-0.

I cast my mind back to when Liverpool didnt qualify for the Champs League, yet the FA bent over backwards to get them reinstated. Yes they were the champions league champions, but they dropped a bollock by not actually qualifiying.

Adebayor has quit international football, what a fag.

after what happened at the african nations can you blame him?

I know i wouldnt want to continue international football with that memory constantly with you.
Once you lived through an ambush like that, which is totally unexpected (ie you not in the military), then come back and insult him.

Dont like the guy personally, but you seriously cant blame him.

There is good news on the financial front at last for Pompey. There is a major sponsorship interest in the club from Fairy Liquid due to how well they manage to remove scum from cups.

After what his national team management did I'm not bloody suprised. The players who survived and left the tournament were fined. Fined after having lived through that ambush because they were mourning their team mates and wanted to go home.

So Higuain, Raul and Guti will all be leaving RM in the summer. Now I dont care about Guti or Raul, both of them are gobshites, but I do feel sorry for Higuain who has been in awesome form this season. His crime? Not being signed by perez I guess and is being made scapegoat.

That club is a joke.

Why's Higuain leaving - is that down to the (alleged) politics between him and Ronaldo?

He could quite easily slot in with any club in England or Italy IMO, great player.

Probably because Perez didn't sign Higuain, the fact his star signings have been outshone by someone signed by his predecessor probably pains him more than Real not winning anything.

Raul leaving Real is a bit of a shock. Yes, he is getting old and knackered now. But he is much part of the furniture as Giggs at Manchester United or Steve Gerrard at Liverpool.

Except he is hated by players and fans, and has too much sway at the club. He is nothing like Giggs or Gerrard, Raul is all ego.

Stop reading Marca or As, it is bad for your health.

PS: Higuain DOES crack under pressure on the crucial matches

He's only 22 and a lot of the pressure probably comes from the terrible way Real Madrid is run.

Second top goal scorer despite multiple players costing 30-90 million euros and they want to sell him? HAHAHA what a joke :D

he didn't score in the last match against barcelona, but he scored in the two barca matches before that. Every club in the world could probably use him.

As for guti - I know people will hate me for this, but I think he would be a lovely player/sub for arsenal. His vision is brilliant.

Only when he's looking in the mirror at himself. He was coming on as a sub at the weekend and he spent about 6 minutes matching up his socks and sleeves.
