If Carrick isn't there then Olic is offside surely? If not then Carrick still has to stand strong, no point covering runners if you let them push you off the ball.

Got back well on the cover, that I admit. But beyond that it is just awful, lazy attempt to win the ball, and then just was weak as hell and hit the deck.

i dont think the referee had to send of rafael, he looked pressured into it. Understand there was reason to give the 2nd yellow though. This was one the things i spoke about in rafael's decision making earlier.

Couple of silly mistakes, carrick on the goal, and rafael climbing over ribery.
It killed of a great match was the real shame. From a great looking match it went to a training match of attack vs defense.

Congratulations to munich though for getting the result, cant take anything away from Robben's finish

As a Man U fan it was shame to go out. Rafael was having an excellent game up until the sending off. Cracking strike from Robben though. Carrick was toilet all night even in his often unseen defensive role - SAF should have used the opportunity earlier to realise the poor lad was having a mare and got him off.

I'm glad Rooney went off, imo country before club and he's needed for South Africa.

His decision making is woeful and while the second yellow was a weak one he really should of been more careful.
