North Lanarkshire - 49% No, 51% Yes
South Lanarkshire - 55% No, 45% Yes

"No" overall for Lanarkshire - that's a huge win, mining towns and working class.

Perth & Kinross - 60% No, 40% Yes

SNP heartland got pumped, but a lot of posh people up that way, used to be strong Tory.

Wife/In-laws are Lanarkshire folk. Doesn't surprise me that it was tight there.

I know my brother in law went yes, wife/mother/father went no's. Mind you my brother in law based his vote on facebook comments. LOL>

if Glasgow and Edinburgh come back in favour of 'No' that'll pretty much seal it.

And is looking like it going down to Glasgow/Edin/Fife as to how it goes. If they are around 50/50 then I think NO has it in the bag.

Yes nearly 200,000 behind, Glasgow needs to be massive if Yes have a chance.

West Lothian - 55% No, 45% Yes
Glasgow - 47% No, 53% Yes

They're still far behind with the biggest vote, I think it's looking like a No.

Edinburgh needs to be massively towards Yes, I reckon it'll be similar to Glasgow though.

Just in:- Won't find out until next week what the final result is - the Horse & Cart serving the Highlands has gone MIA.

after the Glasgow result, YES needed 63% of all remaining votes (assuming 100% turnout). Would say that out of reach unless somehow Edinburgh went 70% yes at least

South Ayrshire threw another 13k advantage to NO. Looking like I can go to sleep now but want to know result before wife wakes up.

The whole thing has made her anxiety awful and she worried about what could happen (especially to the NHS which the yes campaign massively lied about). We need a lot of medical care so the risk of losing this affected her a lot.

East Ayrshire also threw another 5k+ advantage to the NO. And this is an area that was highly expected to vote Yes. Really does need a very unlikely huge Edinburgh YES vote

South Ayrshire - 58% No, 42% Yes
East Ayrshire - 53% No, 47% Yes

Again, posh people in South Ayrshire.

I get the feeling they're saving that for last as a big "FUCK YOU".

Arguably, as I said before, it could be, the SNP were created for independence, a party with exactly the same socialist approach could now come to power and fight for further devolution, but not bother with independence.
