Also if you take a closer look at the log you will se that unbuffed vs Unbuffed my DF does more dmg than buffed vs buffed.

Buffed my DF does 142-198 mainhand and ~50ish offhand. You then substract 20% from relic and we are talking 114-158 and with nerf we are finaly talking 74-103 on mainhand.

The numbers provided are all consistent with those I have seen from VN boards featuring high RR SZ doing ~125-145 fully buffed with DF.

No it doesn't. It looks like we are both hitting similarly.

Runolas is using a 4.2spd and 2.4spd swinging both each round, so 3.3spd before qui mods.

I'm using 3.5spd and 2.2spd (when it says dirk in the log), so 3.5 when only mainhand swings, 2.85 when both swing - this gives ~3.05spd average
or 3.5spd and 2.9spd (when it only says sword), so 3.5 when only mainhand swings, 3.2 when both swing - this is the setup that most infs use and gives ~3.3spd average.

My qui is 255, I'm guessing Runo has ~230?

Bad maths. You don't multiply by 0.8 to remove relics, you divide by 1.2.

Should read 118-165.


And I find it hard to believe that post-nerf your Doublefrost will hit for less than your unstyled mainhand does now

Now...finally it has to be said that I have max qui for evades , but vs high RR INf like Pin and Ochan it did not work out that well. You can by manipulating qui raising your dmg on DF, so with 0 qui from items you can hit harder than what I do, but dmg overtime will be less.

Problem is that most high RR SB are 5-spec and not SZ. On Exc. the majority of SB's are 5-spec. A pure SZ is almost as rare as a CB.

I have no problem respeccing to CB...and I will, but to compete with both INF/NS having access to stun directy from evade, we need a stunning style too. We also need better RA's and proabably 2.5 spec point. Anything more than a 10% nerf on LA I'm out of there speccing CB and enogh LA to use CS styles with 2 weapons.

The point of all this is that the nerf an LA only shifts the balance on assassin vs assissin. If any other guy playing another class...Scout comes to mind...think you will be beaten up less because of this...think again CB/SZ are just as deadly to you. Sb spec LA, cuz of INF/NS.

I should also point out that my buffer is level 48 with 47 enhance (and Master of the Arcane 1) and we are both (Ohcan and I) cap-buffed and (most of the time) this includes both AF buffs giving a 25% to Runolas' damage in the buffed tests (that's 10% from base AF and 15% from spec AF - display with base AF buff is bugged, but the buff still has effect).


(And Runo is lower level with 37 aug, I believe)



(Side note - AF buffs are not actually capped, so for a high-spec buffer, Mastery of the Arcane will give a benefit on these )

If you look at Pin he has better buffs/high RR/better Items. Buffed I did roughly arround 200-250 on DF...as I have statet b4 and looking at a RR7+ SZ with the best buffs/equipment you will see DF landing for 240-290. That is still fare from 400 or 3-shottting like someone claims is happening. Just about every INf I have read about that have actually dueled a SB on the test server has stated that they think the nerf was way too hard.

My conclussion from reading the logs is that maybe a 10% reduction is ok, but since we have 20% bonus atm i dont think thats right. But 30% is to much IMO.

Aye a 10% dmg reduction is ok, I think we all could live with that, but we need some better RA's to compensate.

Assasin is supposed to kill solo targets that are not aware of their presense right ? Should It matter if its a tank or not if hes sitting ? No.

I started my cb at release but after I was away for a good while in between what did I come back to. Low RR unbuffed cb that cant kill anything. Yes U read right and this is a whine. Skipped the few last pages here (though the logs were great) as I cant be arsed to read anymore as Im going to sleep.

As what my point was.

I have 44CS as I thought sometime in the past that using PA+CD+SS would be really cool to pull of agaisnt enemies with a 2hander. Is it possible against any1 with even half a brain and moderate equipment ? No. I tweaked my cb a bit with leaving sword to 40 and getting laxe to 20 as it was obvious that 2h had become too slow.

What is suprising is that while my 2h PA cap is 977 my dualwield cap is 699 against virtually any resist my 2h PAs scale 250-300 while dualwielding scales 200-250. I use 99qua arc Greatsword (5,4dly) and dual with Bastard sword and hand axe for the speed.
Theres absolutely no use to hit with 2H for damage as I hit 2h every 4secs and dual is about 2secs. All its good for is the extra poison.

But.

As I cant kill with my CS styles opening from stealth I have to go to pure melee. After tests with the 20laxe I do more damage dualwielding than with 2h even if misses wouldnt be a prop.
Garrotes scale around 100+25 avarage and after some1 slaps me with str/con debuff it will be like a small baby.

As it is now I cant kill any of the anyway tweaked other assasins and my only pray are the low RRs that dont know what they are doing in rvr.

So I hit with capped stats and skills for less than my counterparts... take more damge with capped melee resist. Normally lose even I hit PA+CS+SS. (oh my thane hits with 39+13 hammer spec with a 2h provoke more than I PA).

What do I do?

Get a bot.

Was in sauvage after some1 buffed me with his buffbot and told I can have em all day. Happily spread the menace all around that day. Killing Casters lvl50 with Garrote+AH. Yes U read right... just 2 styles. I hit with em that 400+ allways and lucky crits upped me to 700-800 with 2 hits that do around 250 unbuffed. I even killed tanks popping IP on me with relative ease.

So. Think what the laxe style damage is while buffed if mine almost doubles.

Until Mythig takes their head out of their arse and leave the laxe as it is... make a range for buffs, like the 1 on endregen nerf thats coming(just up the range to 5000). There will be whines all around still. None of em come from the unbuffed actions. Just the buffed ones piss people off. Oh and hope that nerf comes live so my healer hits more than my sb.
