One week and one day.

That's how long my new phone lasted before I knocked it off the table in the garden and smashed the screen :(

Problem solved. New one bought, old one sent off for screen repair.

Missus gets a new phone I guess. A nice upgrade to her Galaxy S2.

Mine fell out of my pocket as I went to sit in my car and I did not notice and drove over it. Only one I have ever broken though.

I have never broken the screen on a phone before not even scratched it

How do people do it?

This one I'd knocked off the table in the garden moving my bike bag after a ride. The last one I dropped onto my foot whilst sitting on the bog and it fell from an inch onto the floor and the screen shattered - but I still used it for 12 months with a crazy paving screen until I dropped it again as I fumbled putting it into my pocket whilst carrying some bags. The one before that I fell over drunk and landed on it in my pocket. The one before that I dropped on the floor in tescos pulling my wallet out. The one before that I fell into the canal in leeds - drunk again.

:)

I drop my phones loads, but touch wood haven't had one smash yet. This one has a tiny crack in the corner where it took a tumble onto some decking in Thailand (the heat melted the glue holding the case on), but otherwise survived. Also dropped it today (well someone knocked it out my hand by accident) when I was checking the Chelsea score in B n Q earlier, caught it with my foot though.

Oh and the missus is in a cob with me because I said I'd give a friend and his missus a lift to somewhere we were going anyway, because I didn't ask. Apparently that means this friend is more important than her.

Aka The Mental.

They all end up mental...the stepdaughter told me I didn't respect the house because last week she came in and I had left a tap slightly running and half a banana in the fruit tray...seriously, she practically lipped.
I keep warning her boyfriend, just because she's a stunner now, he let's shit slide, but when she loses her looks, he'll have to murder her.

@Hawkwind hasnt been around for a while. :(. I like him

Not gone, just seriously fucked up my back doing some house clearance in July just after coming back from a biz trip. Was in hospital for 10 days on morphine, Ruptured Disc between L3-L4. Quite an unusual one to according to the neurosurgeon, left a large mass that stretched all the nerve roots so left leg and hip were totally numbed to tough and walking felt like the hamstring had gone. Not to be recommended. Was on some very heavy pain meds for last few weeks, ones that are normally illegal in UAE and really quite good ;), now going through withdrawal process and scaling back the usage. Just had another MRI scan (last Thursday) and the mass has reduced substantially some feeling back in my leg and able to walk around without substantial pain. Lots of painful physiotherapy now and exercise to get the strength back. Back at work now to, so playing catch up and extremely busy.

I'm sure a few certain people will be laughing but I honestly don't give a shit. I did not leave in a huff because a couple of narrow minded people made some negative comments. Too old to get upset at that online shit. :)

Hope you all had a better summer than I did!

My wife calls me a shoe diva. Just because I won't grab the first shoes I see, I'm suddenly a shoe diva. I might not know what exactly I want, but I most certainly know what I do not want. She has forty pairs of shoes and swaps between maybe five or six pairs. I have six pairs and use all of them, depending on the occasion.

Holy crap @Hawkwind hope you get better soon. Back pain is a bitch, you don't really realize how much you use your back until something goes wonky in it.

Worst thing right now is not being able to fly anywhere for another two months, had tickets lined up for 8 games at the RWC :( Tickets to all the Eng group games, 3 NZ and QF1, all but 1 game were freebies in Hospitality </cries a lake>. Tickets all went to a mate in UK who is meeting up with gang flying over from Dubai.

Traction at Physio tonight to, not looking forward to that either :(

He got two pairs brown smart leather boots and some black smarting office shoes. I deliberately didn't go for full leather soles as lovely Swedish winters and springs means the first thing you do with your beautiful leather soled shoes is go to the cobblers and have them replaced.... He has a stunning pair of dress shoes I bought him in 2012 and the soles are wrecked because he failed to have them replaced when he got them....

Spending ages trying to figure out why the new Powerline adapters you just bought won't work, only to find out its because the LAN port on the motherboard of the PC you're trying to connect is fucked. Grrrr.
