Got this guy on my Facebook who 'travels' alot.

When I say travels, he's currently in Tokyo, he's been there for 2 days, he's currently been to an Apple shop, a Starbucks and a Hard Rock Cafe.

WHATS THE FUCKING POINT

I've been to McDonalds in many many countries. It's just a thing. I like it because they're all slightly different, and strangely its the American ones that are by far the worst. Starbucks on the other hand are always exactly the same apart from currency no matter where you go, but like Tom says, sometimes you cba to go local.

Having said that, why you'd want to go to an Apple store in any country is beyond me apart from the free wifi, and the Hard Rock Cafe? Where is he visiting? 1985?

Just caught up on this. Jesus wept. I bet she's a barrel of laughs at parties. In hindsight it is quite interesting the number of women in my LinkedIn contacts who've clearly had professional shots done to show themselves in the most attractive, rather than professional, light.

I'm not sure who in Bavaria decided to take their bad day out on whoever was trying to change a fuse on a 1-Series, but Christ they were having a really bad day. It is behind the glovebox in a compartment behind a hole only big enough to get your hand in - so you can't see what fuse you are pulling.

Neither have I, but the stereo has gone on the blink and I am investigating what has caused it. It's getting some power, as I can eject the CD, but it won't go further than that.

If it's got power to eject the disc, it shouldn't be the fuse, as they're an all or nothing system, unless BMW are using some strange type of fuse unknown to anyone else.
Is there anything showing on the display for the radio? Any lights? Anything changed recently? Does it have an amp fitted in line with the speakers? It seems strange that the car warnings would go into the radio, as that would prevent you changing it, but if it has an amp unit fitted, that's stopped working, that may explain losing sound from both sources. Just pulling at straws here, and by no means an expert...

meh. my gaming rig just did what looked like an overheat power-down in the middle of a Witcher 3 session. thing is, it's almost impossible for this thing to actually do that: it's a very air-friendly Corsair case, and I have water cooling up the wazoo. Win 10 event viewer being super helpful and only telling me there was no shutdown performed before booting again :-/

Only thing I can come up with is that I'm somehow going over my PSU's rated power of 750W 0_o

You have an SLI thing going on don't you? On a 750W PSU? That's... adventurous isn't it?

Yeah. I'm lazy and didn't upgrade after the 770 ti. I bought this PSU to run at about 40-70% of rated power. On paper everything works just dandy. Here's a pic of the wattage under full load. Mind you, that there is everything in that loop, e.g. the game rig, 1440P screen, and the server. Screen and server are about 60W each, so go figure.




Edit: sorry, forgot to answer your question: watercooler is the Corsair H100 and the case is the Corsair Carbide 540

hehe the rest of this rig is basically a rather overclocked AMD FX-8350. It's pretty ridiculous tbh. I might get better results with a Core i5-4690K O/C'd to the same speed, but hey ho

I know for football on Saturday evenings (the news just before MotD), they tell you to look away or leave the room or whatever before giving the scores but if you turn the TV on just after that warning then bad luck.
