If you think that signing up to stuff and then trying to change the rules afterwards has no effect on other nations willingness to sign up to new things with us then you suffer from the same delusion as the Eton toastracks.
The point is that they're not changing the rules?

Have I read it wrong or something? We're continuing to participate in a 100bn euro EU programme called Horizon and the EU are remaining arbiters - and the tories are getting shit for that off wankers, no?

You are missing the point.

Explain it then?

As far as I can see this whole story is a bit of a remainer shit-stir with no real point other than "we're bitter".
Have you been drinking?

I'll go slow.

The original point was that the Express was getting shouty about something to do with the brexit deal that isn't even a big deal.

The second, and largely unrelated point, was your insistence that the EU would be happy to sign up to programmes with us when we have proved ourselves to be untrustworthy and incompetent.

Perhaps some Freddies who reside in EU countries can give Scouse a view of how the British are veiwed at the moment over there?

/Edit: I believe @DaGaffer already passed an unsubtle comment on this matter...

No the original point was you linked a article from the utterly silly tabloid newspaper/website Express, why don't you post some of their other moronic overaction articles as well.

You keep missing quite a lot yourself, the way you talk you'd think the EU is somehow a bastion of following the rule of law at all levels when the they couldn't even get the delayed Covid Recovery fund through without dumping the rule of law aspect from it. On the same point it is like the double standards of moaning about the UK governments tendency for puff pieces but completely ignoring the fact that most of the leaders in the EU are prone to exactly the same type of puff pieces.

I'm not really sure the majority you keep trying to insult care what you think about them let alone people who reside in the EU may or may not think about them, again that is different from wishing them harm which would no doubt be another overaction from some remainers who as usual keep trying to muddy the waters.

Said the person linking a Express article.

Not really since as shocking as it may seem they aren't even in the same sort of ball park for right wing nuttiness, you might of been slightly closer if you said about the Guardian article I linked but then I've posted them before so still not the glass house situation you are trying to infer.

Like most people they're rational, not rabid. They know that the single-issue vote of 17 million people does not a nation define.

Brexit is one thing. It's not everything m8.

On the idea that we'll actually do something ourselves.

I happen to agree there.

English people are viewed generally as fucking idiots (I know that this is not true for all citizens of England) in the countries I deal with (Fr, Ge, NL, Se, Dk, No, Fi and Be), Citizens from Wales, N Ireland and Scotland do not get the same level of ridicule. - I do not have many dealings with Southern Europe but my Italian and spanish colleagues do not think much of us either.

On top of that news articles like tourists skipping lockdown seem to stay in memory of my colleagues, family and friends for a long time...

That's been the case since before brexit @Yoni. Englang is like the US of Europe. Full of dumb fat, poorly-educated cunts**.

Intelligent people know that intelligent people are the same the world over. It doesn't really matter what the common man thinks when it comes to policymaking.

**Edit: I happen to think the same really. But really to a greater or lesser extent about all of human kind - not necessarily nationally bound.

I did not state whether it was before or after Brexit however the level of how idiotic they think Englanders are has definately increased since the vote to leave the EU happened. I know this because every time I have to create a work relationship I am greeted with the same comments and have been for many years now.... Now I just answer "why do you think I have Swedish citizenship"... I have expressed it here more than once - that I am ashamed to be British at this moment in time - hence if I was ever to choose I would hand my my British passport back in a second.

I tend to start at a lower base, every one is an idiot and most people rise above this level but some just stay there and seem content with being on that level and as long as they don't affect me or my environment then so be it.

Again you are no different than any one else, you do what suits you.

I've found the majority of those I played with in AQ2 from the Nordic countries to be thoroughly nice and spoke English rather well, also during my WoW days I found the majority I played with to be thoroughly nice as well.

I deal daily with lots of europeans, regularly more globally and increasingly regularly middle east and north africa.

I just don't get anything from them. The only thing I ever apologise for is not being able to speak in people's native tongues when they can speak in mine.

It's silly anyway - people who govern are less prone to this childish tribal shit when it comes to their decision making. So how their publics may feel about different countries is largely just irrelevant gossip :)

I deal with all sorts of nationalities and they don't paint an entire nation with the same brush.

We must move in different circles.

I tend to get more sympathy than anything else; like the UK is a senile uncle that talks about fuzzie-wuzzies and has uncontrollable flatulence.

To be fair, the last point is entirely accurate about all of us.
