Ah yes, that's a known issue - it never bothered me as being on O2 I don't get them anyway, I get text message warnings.Nath, problem with this ROM - voicemail notifications don't come through anymore, unless you know'ee of a way to sort this?
Absolutely NOTHING about what they're going to do about extending battery life
Another question
How do you get the voice to work on the sat nav? I downloaded it and as far as I know installed it but cannot find an option within the navigation to enable it.
Good that they're working on the speed.
Good that they're doing App2SD.
Good that they're doing WiFiRouter.
Good that they're doing Update All in Market.
Absolutely NOTHING about what they're going to do about extending battery life or improving memory management. That is most people's #1 bugbear.
Arhghghghghgh! It seems the car charger I got cannot cope with charging my phone :/
Also, it creates interference with the audio output jack when both are plugged in.
Tom; can you test this with your Nexus? Use a 3.5mm out and have it plugged into the car charger. I get a whining sound on the audio output.
Take a leaf when ARM were developing their EPOC s/w on the old Psion handhelds. "Every milliamp is sacred".Short of inventing a new display, I don't see what they can do.
Somehow MoDaCo manage it, the ROM of theirs that I'm using for my Hero is not only *much* faster but also the battery life is about twice what it was.Take a leaf when ARM were developing their EPOC s/w on the old Psion handhelds. "Every milliamp is sacred".
I have that problem but it manifests itself as a slight background noise.
Its common with most electrical equipment, because the ground for the car's alternator is shared with everything else, including your car's audio.
You need to work at giving your car cig lighter and your car radio the cleanest ground possible, running a wire straight to the battery would do that.
Quick question, I've got 4 USB ports on the front of my PC, now the HTC Desire seems to draw about 500mA, now If I plug in for example my usb headphones into the port with the same channel the whole port array seems to fall over requiring me to reboot the PC?
Is this expected as the phone is drawing the max amount of power or have I got a USB port issue.
I'm going to wait for the automatic update. I'm not prepared to risk the small chance of turning my phone into a paperweight.
