Nice. Really nice.

What did you do? yiu and a few mates trek around or did you go solo? Shit man I know it's doable but that's on my bucket list. I love stuff like that. Me and the dog have been some places but I'd love to cycle some.

Nothing much - put my bike on the back of the car and my kayak on the roof and fucked off for four days on my todd. Camped here (cheap n' cheerful at £5/night with a good bar (with great food) called the Paddler's Return on an adjoining campsite).

Went mountain biking round the coast then kayaking and fishing in the area for a few days. It's a lovely part of the world and I go regularly (all over North Wales). :)

Lulz :p

It's really nice to get away alone now and again don't you think? It was a good few years since last time and I'd forgotten how much I enjoy the total peace and freedom.

Yep. All goes quiet and suddenly you start hearing a voice that's been getting drowned out by all the other stuff and you remember it's the voice of yer best mate :)

Just bought one of these:

http://www.banggood.com/FPV-2-Axis-...troller-For-DJI-Phantom-GoPro-3-p-908068.html

I'm playing around developing a cheap "proof of concept" to try and improve onboard cameras on the rallycross. Who knows if it'll see the light of day, but personally I think that fixed onboard cameras don't show the jumps, huge kerbs and all round movement of the car over the course. For instance, I've often thought a gimballed camera on an F1 car through Eau Rouge would show just how steep that hill is by showing the nose of the car dip out of sight on the entrance, and shoot up into view as it climbs the hill.

A bit like this, but for a car:

Colleague has it Bods, the finger print sensor on the power button is very well done. Better even than apples.

Meh. The reader on my Nexus 6P unlocks it in fractions of a second :)

The new Nexus ones are meant to be the best as they learn very quickly and read you finger print at any angle and are not picky. The 6s is so fast too but I did manage to get misreads when i used the edge of my Finger on purpose. If EE were not cunts and added WiFi calling as an App to Android rather than making you buy a phone from them with a EE Rom I would not be on a 6s now I would be on a Nexus 5x.

Anyone able to recommend a good (Smart) TV for £400? Looking at 40" - 46" size. There are a few 4K TVs for that price, but not sure if they sacrifice too many other features.

I thought that looked a bit weird and shit but then I saw this and the reasoning became clear (I didn't even notice the stabilised video the first time).

This is the 42 version of the TV I am going to buy. I want the 50 but it is £180 more so I might get the 42 instead. My uncle has one and it is a good solid TV with a 5 year warranty for £400 it will do me.

It is text messages and phone calls. If I am making the call I can use then like you say and I can use WhatsApp but when someone is calling / texting me this means I will not need to leave my phone on the other side of the room anymore.

That shot just shows the line the bike is taking. What I want to see is what the bike (or in my case, the car) is doing as it takes that line.

Fully agree with this, unlocks in one smooth motion, hardly ever see the lock screen.

It really is a lovely phone, screen is absolutely superb, great camera, nice and snappy. Got some free noise cancelling headphones with it too - they're very impressive.

Just need some decent 4K content now to try the screen out properly, any suggestions?

Do they still feel a bit cheap? I like the metal build quality of HTC's more than just about anything else on my phone, haha.

Picked up a new VDSL router / modem.

So far, much better than that dogshite Home Hub 5. Wireless is better for a kick off and I expect I won't have to reboot it every 2 to 3 days.

I was going to buy a Draytek 2860 to get rid f the BT Home Hub but I managed to "borrow" a BT VDSL Modem so I got to keep using my 2830 in the end. The Home Hub is utter shit, the wireless is dribble.

Just bought a pair of Bose QC25's for Android in "triple black", a special edition. According to the internets, they have fairly good noise cancelling ability. I've basically bought them so I can avoid killing my colleagues.

Don't be that guy Teeds. The antisocial nerd in the corner with the big headphones is so not you. Kill your colleagues; way cooler.

I know right. I must have had a really bad day yesterday. Normally I wouldn't think twice about killing a coworker :-/

Just collected one of these:

http://www.transcend-info.com/products/No-705

Maybe it's all the dashcam videos on the internet, but I'm tired of the number of people who seem to weasle out of accidents by claiming it wasn't their fault. So now, should anyone decide to fuck me over, I have proof.

How long does the 32gb card record stuff for. Outside the emergency protected recording. And how long does the battery last?

The first paragraph 'for those who extremely care about the road'. Shoudnt care and extremely be the other way around?

32gb lasts a while, I tend to get a few weeks of trips on mine.
Battery - don't even lol. Lasts like 5-10 mins, you need them to be connected all the time, either via the 12V, USB, or a header from the panel.

This one has two cameras so I just did 20 minutes to Tesco and 20 minutes back, that's taken about 7 gigs. Front camera is 1080, rear is 720. Picture quality seems pretty good. No idea about the battery although it apparently takes 4 hours to charge.
