I've just ordered a Raspberry Pi 2 ![Smile :) :)](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
...too many eleven year olds doing me in.
Oh go on its fun tempting you.I would pursue this innuendo further but I fear I may end up on some list or other.
Only after their parents weren't watching. Is that what you say to the 11 year olds?
Because I use multiple screens manipulating large data sets in Access and Excell, can't see Oculus being any use for that shitWaiting for le Rift. Whats the point in an amazing monitor when I'm going to mostly replace it with Oculus some time this year.
The 34" superwides are nice, but having a 4k monitor ehhhh. 1440p doesn't look that much better than 1080, but 1080>2160 makes a much bigger impact.
The real test will be when we can run triple 4ks , or a superwide that runs in 7680x2160
Until then I'm pretty happy running either single 28" 4k, or dropping the res and running it as a triple 1080.
Tbh I think the biggest thing might be VR, when oculus finally fucking release a consumer edition. Cunts.
I'm waiting for some reviews of the Dell U3415W before I make any decisions. The more I see of the 34" superwides, the more I like them, and this one is curved too. Until then, my trusty old 2405FPW soldiers on.
Ordered one, getting it today. My Dell XPS burnt my legs for the last time this weekend, fuck me they run so hot.Bought a new laptop to replace my aging 2010 MBA (2GB RAM), a nice Lenova Yogo Pro 2 i7 with 8GB RAM, 128GB SSD for 750 squids from John Lewis. Surprisingly this is the first windows based laptop I have ever used where the touchpad actually works. Oh and it has quad HD resolution so I now wear binoculars instead of glasses (unless I alter the resolution).
Let us know how you get on with it...Ordered one, getting it today. My Dell XPS burnt my legs for the last time this weekend, fuck me they run so hot.
In the process of getting it how I like it, noticed the screen doing a few weird dimming things every now and again, not sure if it has an ambient sensor but that could become annoying. I do have the brightness on full at all times, battery life doesn't worry me.Let us know how you get on with it...
OK so I haven't bought this, and will never be able to afford to, but it is definitely a bit nerdy, and indisputably awesome so I'll post it here.

Amazing workmanship and dedication to a cause, but a slightly eyewatering asking price!
There is an auto dimming feature but it can be disabled, I'll try and find where it is...In the process of getting it how I like it, noticed the screen doing a few weird dimming things every now and again, not sure if it has an ambient sensor but that could become annoying. Other than that it is a lovely little thing to hold, really feels a premium bit of kit and you can barely hear the fan.
Now that's not something you hear.... ever...![]()
There's always an exception to prove the rule. The laptop expertise is that. With everything he touches being a disaster. HeheI have to disagree sir! Trem seems to have a bit of a dab hand with laptops for some strange and unexplicable reason![]()
