John Lewis had the silver one for 750 squids, not sure if they still do it it, I run all sorts of apps on it but I do not play games on a laptop, that is what the consoles or the big PC are for :)

It is a touchscreen device but I cannot bring myself to smear/smudge the screen with my prints :(

EDIT (before posting :p). Can't be arsed, too long, no one cares. No offence Tom, I've seen first hand the damage that cycling like that causes to other people IF IT GOES WRONG. it's all well and good saying blah blah within the speed limit in the village blah blah. You were lucky (I assume here this is a video of you personally cycling, if it's not, my apologies).

I have the same laptop, with a 256GB SSD. I have the OS scaling set to 250% permanenetly. Unfortunately this makes Windows 8.1 think that I want extra thick borders around windows rather than just the contents of said windows being bigger. Such rage.

Edit: also, my two programs of choice, Astah Professional and Eclipse IDE are not supporting scaling until at least the summer (Astah), so to get any decent usage out of them I need to down-rez.

I presume you think Tom should not just obey the speed limit, traffic laws and cycle in the advanced manner he does, making himself highly visible and ensuring he has maximum visibility of the road ahead, but because he's a cyclist he should also do what exactly?

If you look at the video you'll notice it ends when he stops just outside of the "keep clear" box - how many cars do you see bothering with that?

Yes, accidents can and will happen - but a shitload less would happen if people had the skills Tom clearly has.

Barreling along at 47mph (or whatever) is stupid on a bike, you simply will not be able to stop in time if there is something in the road. Its that sort of attitude that cyclists have, that they are invincible that is a major cause of cycling fatalities on the road. His road position is fine, so long as he uses common sense and tucks in to allow cars to pass, but the speed is not suitable for the road, regardless of the legal limit. He will either end up killing himself or someone else. The lack of common sense is startling, that he is proud of it, worrying.

If you want a thrill from cycling then go and use one of the many courses around the country, endangering yourself and others is just retarded whichever way you look at it.

Anyway, the cycling argument/bollocks doesn't go anywhere, not really a suitable thread for it :)

Doing 47 on a cycle and having to skid the rear wheels to slow down behind that van to over take on the speed bump is all very sensible.

The speed limits are the maximum speed for the road. Not the safe speed for every vehicle at every point on it.

No, I think a shitload more accidents would happen if more people cycled like that.

as for cars stopping outside a keep clear box....er? loads. not everyone, but, you know, like, the majority of people....

So... My Z1 had a lovely death today. Crack down the screen basically meaning I have to rotate it to use some most pieces of functionality. Luckily, the keyboard sensors haven't fucked.

64GB version incoming thanks to a friend at work with a 1 day left invite.
Good choice, got my missus one for Christmas and it's making me want to get rid of my Nexus 5. Problem is that I can't believe that they don't have another handset around the corner.

Oh and from this point forward any more cycling bullshit in this thread will get deleted, Jup already asked politely.

Start a new thread and @ notify those involved if you must carry on the unending row.

Back to stuff that's been bought in 3... 2... 1...

I have found a generic Chinese site but it has some cool gadgets on there and they offer free postage and I have used them a couple of times and the service is good.

Girlfriend wants one after seeing mine. Couple of things I miss coming from the Z series but for the money and spec I couldn't have made a better move.

There is a rumour of a "OnePlus Two" to be released this year. Possibly in the summer.

For that amount of money I could probably convince my neighbour to undress in my house and then I wouldn't need a telescope.
