no idea chumlar, I'll download 3dmark and see. Unigine says the 970 is about 1.25X the 770 I had earlier this year. Unfortunately I lost the 780ti screenshot so I can't compare vs that. The interpipes say something like between 0.8 and 0.95X, but ofc with less power draw.

edit: futuremark is sooo shit to download. ever since they went commercial

3D Mark gives weird results on mine.
SLi Single Screen:

But this comps nearly 18 months old (Intel i&-4790K & Z87 Mobo), will update the processor and Mobo in the summer. The Z87 is misreported as a Z97 but correct in the one below triple screen Sli. Again incorrectly reports hardware as 1 Graphics Card but it was in SLi.

Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter which I got free from Best Buy in US ($60 voucher from their online store). Took it to Slovakia with my Surface 3 and a drive full of recent media and it was awesome. No lag running 1080p mkv media, no fuss, no issues at all. Excellent piece of kit if you travel with an Windows 8.1 device. Very simple set up on any TV with a HDMI and USB. Also simple on the OS, basically 1 swipe and 3 clicks/taps. Used it on Philips LCD at the Ski Chalet in Slovakia and Hilton Hotel in Vienna. Works better than the Chromecast for me which pixelates on HD content from time to time. Also outperformed my mates Apple TV setup he had with him.

Great piece of kit.

Huh? i7-4790k only came out June 2014. Did you mean 4770k ? Even then there's not much that's better than it currently. IIRC the refresh mostly made it more power efficient.

Bought the missus a Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 in white. Ignoring how dirty I felt giving money to Samsung and not getting her a Z3, seems a pretty decent bit of kit. Pretty quick and loads of features, will try to steal it off her to get a better idea.

Have also decided to build a proper HTPC after the death of the Samsung laptop I was using. Using the following bits from my old Desktop which isnt being used:

Amd Phenom X2 550
Asus Mobo
8gb Ram
Couple of 500gb drives

Bought a Silverstone ML03 case to put it all in and a MS Media Keyboard to control it. Build takes place tomorrow hopefully.

Today I bought;
A new TV for the bedroom.
Limited to 32" model due to where it had to go.
Bought a Sony W706; Brushed metal finish, very elegant. comes with stand and wall mount (have to use the stand for where it's going). 1080p, 4 x HDMI outputs. Fantastic picture quality, very good sound, though might get a Bose soundstage for it to sit on in a few months. Best bit? The remote also controls the Playstation 4! so now the lack of a media remote for PS4 has become a non-issue... £310 - £140 off in the january sales.

4770K, built the rig in 2013. Thought the new six core range were a step up in performance?

I just bought this TV last week for my living room (hah - I don't like big TVs). So far I love it. It's a cracking TV for just over 300 quid.
