Pfft. Nothing compared to the Beast I'm typing this on now. The Beast that's still running a Phenom X4 and Radeon 5800 :/

Pretty sure my phone has more processing power.

It’s got no fucking pedals!!
A lot of bikes don't come with pedals, especially as you go up the price range. When you think of the contact points - pedals, seat, handlebar grips, they're very personal.

Chesp bikes come with shit pedals that are fine for bimbling short distances down canal paths but don't provide a comfortable secure platform for long distances or steep rocky madness.

I'm getting some silver ones of these. - English made, really good company that made my brakes. (I wanted some titanium dmr vaults but they've an 85kg weight limit and fully-laden I'd be close to that).

The seat will also be getting swapped out soon. Maybe the grips (but I'll ride some miles first to see how they feel).

I've had the Note 3 since it launched and I've been putting off upgrading because it still worked just fine. Then it developed some annoying habits (a suddenly finicky USB port which meant sometimes it wouldn't charge reliably and then actually not holding its charge, even after I replaced the battery). Then I dropped it and knackered the screen and a bit of the chassis so the time had come...

My trusty old HTC One M9 decided to die. Random reboots, not holding charge and android systems errors. Did a factory reset, still fubar.
Didn't want to spend a fortune so bought an "A grade Honor 10" . Very impressed so far, came without a charger but the phone is as new for 100 quid saving. Fingerprint unlock is super fast. Same internals as the Huawei P20 (the parent company) apparently and still has a pretty decent camera. Colour choices are naff but I always use a case so doesn't matter.
Android Oreo is skinned but it's not too bad.

Update:
The camera is the shizzle compared to anything I've used before. AI mode will make the best of everything in the shot. Portrait mode is excellent, so too indoor artificial light shots without flash. So many settings you can play with if you want, including Pro mode if you know what you are doing (I don't).
Because I've put a tempered glass screen protector on it makes it difficult to use the fingerprint unlock. So switched to face unlock, equally as rapid. Even at full price this phone seems great value.

So I guess I'm the only one who finds the concept of running a Chinese Android phone quite disturbing, in terms of what info they are sending back to China?

And I know Samsung/Sony etc all make their phones in China, software isn't written there tho.

Edit//

Stuff like Pre installed app behaving like spyware?

I trust the USA just as much though... Data is power, and the Muricans need dat powa.

But apart from that, my Motorola/Lenovo is a piece of shit, never again.

Mainly because my power button fell off about 2 weeks after buying it, and they wanted me to send it to China (me paying for P&P until they confirmed it's their fault). Which could have taken up to 5-6 weeks.

If you have a Google/Facebook/Instagram et al account your data is already gone.
Plus the phone came with a free foil hat.

My XM2's have been brilliant to be fair, and not had any real comfort issues - think I had to re-adjust them 7 hours into an 11 hour flight. Bloody scary when you do adjust them after being on a plane that long - silence....silence....WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT?

The XM3 is supposed to be pretty good at voices too. Can’t wait to try it with the wife :)

The Noise Cancelling is pretty awesome on these. Pretty much everything is gone except voices, which are muffled, and the dog. Strangely the cats mewling is pretty much gone.

Totally comfy too.

Sound quality seems good but need more time, different tracks, play with settings etc...

Love my Note 9.

You should have the One UI update available to you by now as well so you can go straight up to Android Pie for (among other improvements) better power management to take the battery life from "already ludicrous" to "hilariously long". There's also a proper system-wide "night mode" now, which is good for eye strain and, again, battery life.

Ireland wasn't part of the Beta so One UI/Pie isn't expected for a few more days (it says "January" but a quick Google says some countries have already been pushed back to Feb).
