Hope the fire doesnt melt it heheFull sun and no breeze I'll be doing something other than sitting under a shelter
Will be used for evenings sat around a fire, keeping the rain away. Bought a side panel in case it gets mondo windy too.
Borrowed one s couple of years ago. Worked a treat
Only really useful application for NFC is card payment by phone. If you don't need that it's no loss. After a few issues with my previous phone, mostly that the charging socket had become extremely loose, I decided to order a new phone. My budget would only allow so much at the moment though, so I got a Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 for £200. It's turned out a lot better than I'd expected for the price, beating my expectations in pretty much every area. Definitely recommended for anyone after a cheap Android phone and willing to look outside the usual suspects. About my only annoyances are the lack of NFC (not a major issue for me, think I only used it once on my last phone) and the iOS-style launcher installed by default, though that can easily be changed if you don't get used to it. I'm giving the default launcher a try though, but I do have apex launcher standing by just in case as I bought it ages ago when I had a Samsung s3.
I honestly would not activate that. Too many skimmers about in crowded areas like airports, Cafe's and train stations. Not big news right now but it is happening. People literally walk up behind you whilst paying at coffee shops or ATMs and if the can get the device close enough to activate the handshake your charged, or worse cloned. A lot of people don't realize it is not a touch it is proximity.Only really useful application for NFC is card payment by phone. If you don't need that it's no loss.
Fair point. All this stuff gets exploited eventually.I honestly would not activate that. Too many skimmers about in crowded areas like airports, Cafe's and train stations. Get an RFI wallet for when it does leave home on hols etc.Fair point. All this stuff gets exploited eventually.
Personally I only use mine with a credit card and the card never leaves home, so anything that doesn't match my phone would be something I could spot.

I dont do the phone thing. Cant see the point. Just another thing i can lose that would need sorting out.I honestly would not activate that. My credit card is crying today.
But it's for a pretty fucking nerdy and awesome reason - considering there's only ten of them in polished titanium on the planet - and one of them is mine
The cost of the full build could get you a reasonable second hand carShit the bed! How much for a bike frame? That could get me a whole new set of golf bats and all the golf I can play for 3 years.
Yeah, the crankset for this bike is fucking insane. Absolutely batshit.Including handles bars that are extraordinarily light for $900!!!
Fucking insane

Don't tease, build list!I hate to think what you are going to say when I eventually buy my new custom PC. I've already started on spec'ing it and when I saw the price so far I broke into a cold sweat.
Just saw the jiggery pokery they are doing with the 9th gen intels. To give you a rough idea, this isn't accurate since I'm waiting for a few months, maybe even early 2019 for the next gen Intel chips. I haven't even selected a MoBo or case or new chair or the raid controller and storage disks yet ...

I9 is getting the hyper threading and removing it from the i7 itseems.
6 cores i5, 8 i7 and 8 ht tp 16 for i9
Intel announces its latest 9th-Gen chips, including its ‘best gaming processor’ Core i9
Yeah i dont see the price benefit of an i7 8700 vs the i5 8600 which is why i got the latter.HT is great for marketing but it's always been a hardware hack and when it comes to gaming it's pretty much useless. It's more a benefit for servers using Xeon chips that are running highly-threaded applications like databases. There are actually lots of examples when disabling HT actually increases performance. Also many of the most recent CPU security issues have been due to HT. Talking of which those new i9's are the first desktop chips to have hardware based fixes to some of the Meltdown and related problems, but not all of them. The rest will be fixed in later chips. However I'm going to wait for the die shrink production to kick in, those models are still using 14mm. When I build a new PC these days I want it to last many years. My current PC is nearly 5 years old but still pretty good.
Your talking a year or so in the future then? In that case why dont you go for a 3440x1440 @ 144hz monitor.
34" Ultrawide Curved, Nano IPS, 3440x1440, G-Sync 120Hz, DCI-P3 98% - June ish
- 34" Ultrawide Curved, Nano IPS, 3440x1440, Freesync, 144Hz, HDR, DCI-P3 98% - July ish
Should be available by then.
And i love my 3440x1440 @ 100hz
