I thought this lyric was apt, it's from a song called I'm Not A Patriot, But... by McCarthy.

"There's a great difference between liberators and those who only kill
You are terrorists and they are freedom fighters
You are murderers and they are revolutionaries
"

How do you fight religious fanatics? They perceive themselves as freedom fighters/revolutionaries whereas they're nothing more than terrorists and murderers, so what on earth can you do to change that?

you and I can't Manklet, only time can. history makes a saviour out of a ravaging beast, an icon out of a counter-revolutionary and a good king out of a despot. :(

Yes...luckily nothing happened other than an evacuation. I wonder if its the same people as did the London Bombings.

Brixton tube station and the surrounding area where closed on Friday morning after a hoax. Don't know what is wrong with people who think its funny to play on the mindset of people after a tradgedy.

Now appears all 4 are suicide bombers and given they raided those houses in Leeds a lot of people will be putting 2 and 2 together, whether they were from Leeds we probably wont know for a long while.

Just hope riots dont start off in Leeds / Bradford / Keighley becuase of this but tbh I dont hold much hope.

I read a bit on the beeb webby about a man who missed the explosions by a few seconds who saw a very fidgetty man constantly looking into his bag and sweating and generally acting dodgy. Sounds about right for someone who is about to blow themselves up for no good reason, hope he got payed well.

Interesting day. More television crews there than I've seen together in a long time.

Its a bit of a rough area, although the houses and neighbourhood are of a quality construction, so at one time it would have been very pleasant, quite upmarket. Not now though.

Most of the people we spoke to were very nice, polite, disgusted to think that a terrorist could have been living amongst them. Later in the day though, when the scrotes got out of bed (we're talking 4 o'clock onwards), the mood began to change, we were openly called 'a bunch of pricks' while sat on a wall having a drink and a chat. Some other kids threw a bottle at our car. We left shortly after that.

The most distressing thing was the uncle of the lad in question, he was bombarded for a good 20 minutes by a plethora of journalists, cameraman, soundmen, etc, including us :) A reporter asked him "how did you feel", his face turned very sour and holding back his tears he said "we lost everything", and walked off (followed by the pressgang).

I've done this kind of thing before, in Birmingham when those lads went off to fight for the Taliban. Its never nice tbh, you feel like an invader.

My sister just phoned me she is near Euston she has heard (remember this is 2nd / 3rd hand info) that 3 bombs one of which is a nail bomb have exploded, also possibly another bus bomb.

yeah this is what they are saying on the news... but they are reporting that no-one has been injured which is good.

Sounds like they are now 'shutting down' the center of London - London eye, Downing street, Whitehall etc are being evacuated and the Police are describing this as a very serious incident and advising everyone to stay where they are.

So if your in London expect for a long day in the office.

This kind of action is more effective than bombs tbfh, it certainly costs the economy more money.

Imagine if this became a 'regular' occurance, punctuated by the occasional 'real' bomb.....

Dramatic pictures of a man being arrested outside downing street on bbc.
I dont quite "get" the detonator story, if its suppose to not kill people, but just bring panic, surley a bomb would be what they'ed use? Unless they've run out of explosives?
I dont know, im glad nobodys hurt though.

Yup it doesn't add up.

They cant run out of explosives, explosives are a doddle to make you just got to have the balls to do it - as if you mess it up you lose more than your balls.

Tbh it would sound like a Biological attack if not for the fact its a copycat of 2 weeks ago - and using a Backpack as a Biological agent dispercal method would be stupid.

There was some TV footage of firemen getting into biohaz suits. What if the detonators were just for effect and the biological agent was dispersed by airosol as everybody ran out (with the person spraying running with the crowd)?
I dont know.
