Frankly, our whole approach to crime and punishment needs scrapping and focussing on rehabilitation - real rehabilitation.

Before they brought in the po-po (which was a thinly-veiled punt by the rich to ensure there was a 'militia' to keep the poor in line - which is still their model today) we'd have to live alongside criminals ourselves - we knew what humanity was all about and we were hardened to it.

Our model is expensive, broken and is focused on punishment that is proven to not work. We need to reduce criminality and reduce repeat offending.
