Ding dong the bells are gonna chime etc.

So this is it. In 28 hours I shall be a married man.

:eek6: :uhoh:

Any of you married forumites got any advice?

IE: Don't point out her double-standards?
Don't criticise her cooking?

Etc.

I shall be away until next Thursday, honeymooning in Donegal (at this time of year it'll be ball freezing - all the more excuse to stay indoors and shag in front of a roaring fire! :D ), so expect to see me when you see me.

;)

Good luck m8 :)
I assume you're already living together - most people do it seems- so Ill let you know now, there will be errr, no difference whatsoever :) Thats either good news or bad , I suppose !
Ive been married 15 years btw, so I can speak with some experience when I say that the only way to make a marriage work is to be considerate of each other, and dont be bloody selfish. Then you cant go wrong :)

Good luck Sar!

Erm, judging from friends of my parents, the best way to make a marriage work is to not be secretly gay... Hope this helps?

Hope you have a wicked day! I demand to see photos afterwards.

I got married 2 months ago.

My advice is stay sobre yes SOBRE. Have a drink at the toast an all but at the night bash stay t total. I did and i have no regrets at all. I remember everything that happend.

The only bad thing with my wedding was it was the day the UK broke the record for heat !!

I nearly died :(

All in all m8 enjoy it - i did and i hope you do.

Good luck Sar.

I was nearly at the married stage when I split from my missus. Can't really see myself getting married now.

Oh well, advice wise, never come back from a drunken night out with the lads and ignore your missus. It can lead to, umm, lots of pain :(

All the very best mate to you and the missus. Been married for 7 years now. Can honestly say it is all worth it and some. Just remember when you sign that contract Whats hers is hers and whats your is hers as well.

Only advice I can offer is never goto sleep on an argument. They just aint woth it. Even when you are wrong it dont harm to make the first move to put things right. Finally never underestimate the value of a kind word or act no matter how small.

Even if you're right it often pays in the long run to back off :)

congrats Sar :) Good luck tomorrow! i think both my bro-in-laws summed their days perfectly with this line.

"you got 100's of eyes looking at you, but only one pair count on that very moment, its worth it for those few seconds to carry with you to eternity"

i'd raise a toast to you, but i only got 1/2 a can of coke here :( not allowed alcohol in work

Remember what they say :

Best wishes for the day Sar, hope it goes well :)
My advice would be to try and get away with not marrying them for as long as possible .... but it's too late in your case heheh. 9 years and counting here :D Otherwise, as the others said, compromise, remember not be be selfish and the little compliments/nice comments always help to keep things running smooooooooooth!
