Don't know AE stun is overpowered in Albion? In patch 1.51 Mythic thought give AE stun to earth wizz, but didn't give because is overpowered. Healer AE stun + higest damage PBAOE in game (spiritmaster) is no overpowered

U do know a theurgist is a cloth caster, you know a thing that get kills in 1.3 seconds by your average savage?

U also know the pets die as soon as the theurgist dies?

So all U need to do is kill the theurgist and his pets die.

I dont think pets die when the theurg dies, unless its a recent change.

Also Fagane so what if a earth theurg can't solo very well, he is built for groups, pbt, eb and haste. He can solo perfectly well up to 20 using air, then respec and get the group bt and just group up to 50.
Yes he might want to solo a bit but so might a rejuv cleric or some other very group friendly char. Fact is they do better off in groups.

I for one am glad at last that the earth line is worth going over 35 at last (previously the only new spell after 35 were haste debuffs and 6 sec pbt at 45).

Well the patch is not final yet but so far so good imo.

Not even too sure about this one, I am 35 earth/41 ice (I do have the bluecon earth pets) and I bet they die of a red-con before it wears off. Notice you gotta make a compromise: Take more range and lesser dps of pet or risking the pet getting killed.

After the change, sure they'll be killed by red-con mobs in under 30s. Oranges will still take 30s to kill one, and yellows close to the 60s. Saying a green/blue will kill one easily is silly.

I dont know the exact cons, neither do you (I think).

If anything, the change makes it easier to kill 3 yellows at once as you have 60sec to do it instead of 30.

Probably, but during the lower levels a theurgist doesnt have much more tools then his pets. Spec 7 ice first? Then you get PBT a level later, prolly not a big issue for the hardcore players, but still.


There's a big difference between a level 50 friar hitting a pet and a low level mob hitting the pet of a low level theurg.

There is? I think the hp of the pet is a constant, so if either the friar kills it in 2 blows (400~ish hp) or a mob does 400 damage in 20 seconds I cannot judge yet.

(Anyway, if you're levelling an Earth Theurg the hard way, spec 7 Ice early ;))

Def. not going to level another theurg :p

But it has one big plus bonus: It will be piss-easy to spam pets on epic encounters and keep them up :) I cant wait to abuse it for that :p

So nice fixes overall for the theurgist (in both epic encounters as RvR) but the real fix (short life-span of caster, skyhigh resists) isn't adressed yet.

Not that recent, think somewhere in the 1.5x patches. If my theurg dies my pets die immediatly. (ironically enough you get a message 'You loose control over the air being' while you never could control it)

This is true, but the famous 'use pets to take aggro and pray for best' doesnt work probably anymore.

Oh and btw a redcon succubus kills my earth pet (highest one, bluecon to me) before 30 seconds.

pets dont die afaik

the biggest problem with them pets is that stunning pets interrupt moc, thats stupid. i'm ok with them being unmezzable & unrootable, but any other interrupt in the game can be somehow neglected, by moc, insta cc, etc

Strange, so many people tell me, so it must be true.

But I was so sure of it tbh.

That my pets stopped fighting when I died, perhaps they put it in a patch once and removed it later on?

I think I saw my pets stop fighting as soon as I died, might be just bad luck with the timer on them running off. Sue me!

just remove the chain-stun component and put pet stun on the same timer as pvp stuns.

then you can have your pets.

depends on what spec - ice and fire are quite good - especially fire would own with normal resists and not the usual 60% (highest spec dd and highest spec bolt)

concerning the theurgists: pets are annoying: they interrupt! the damage is just a nice add on and cool for PvE - the damage wont change a lot in RvR. Well played theurgists can be a pain in RvR already - you can say about Outlaw what you want but he sure knows how to annoy mages and support with his earth pets ;)

This patch is going to make theurgist leave wind line to get uber pets in ice and earth. You will therefore see much fewer stunning pets after this patch. You should be happy.

well, they still can use lowlvl pets, if they wont, to bad for them
dont have anything against other pets, it's the stun which pisses me off

well, pin, if it scales up with pet lvl sure, i think prolly sth like 6mac MAX on the stun for air pet is fine, but NOT chain stun at all, under any conditions

snares from pets should also be on immunity timers

Nope, stun from pet, is based of pet level. And code wise the pet uses a low level stun, so it even gets resisted more, I think the stun level was equal to the spell level of the pet-spell (32 for air pets, highest level). So you are resisting a level 32, 1 sec stun spell where determination works on. Just bad luck that the minimum stun/mezz/root time is 1 sec :D

Like it make any difference to you?

You got bigger problems like how you will get all these albs in your cg, and dont think your spec make any difference when you run over everything with your 5fg+

no, it's air pets which stun. this thread isn't about air theurgs, they see no changes (except for the low level earth pets changing duration, etc).

An Earth/Ice theurg has the first air pet, caps at level 10, will errr. never stun anyone :p


Earth pets are pure melee dmage. Ice pets are casters with a snare-DD.

Let's look at some numbers from the logs below. I have only posted a portion of the samplings, but the all are very similar, and serve only to strengthen these observations.

Lvl 18 Elemental Summons
This case, landed 7 of 8 casts for 717 damage or an average of 102 per cast.

Lvl 25 Elemental Summons
Over 2 samples, landed 14 of 16 casts for a total of 2198 damage or an average of 157 per cast.

Lvl 48 Elemental Summons
Over 2 samples, landed 16 of 16 casts for a total of 2493 damage or an average of 155 per cast.

Yes, that is right, there is no difference in damage (or damage potential) between the lvl 25 and the lvl 48 elementals. They do the SAME amount of damage, they have the SAME cast rate, they have the SAME hit points. They suffer the same outright resist rate.
So to answer Outlaw I would go 40 earth and 36 ice as the 25 ice pet does the same as the 48 one atm.

Also the lvl 32 earth pet now has 350 hp but still 30 sec duration. it used to have 1800-1900 hp.... Only the 2 new pets have 60 sec duration, hence going 40 earth.

In a nut shell u mean LVL 32 Earth pets have been nerfed!!!

w0t kind of lovin is that! like I am gonna lose my 39 root...
