Holiday?

Just wondering where people are interested in taking their next holiday ?

I wouldn't mind making my way over there and having a bit of a pot around. I'd also love to go to spain and check out the cathedral thats been being built there for the last couple of hunderd? years - i have a huge gothic architecture fetish - and any other cool stuff i can find.

So where would you guys like to head ?

I want to go to New York but it my be Thialand I have a holdiay booked to Spain to my mates Villa for £30 there and back

I'll be going to Glastonbury as per usual this year, which uses up quite a few days of holiday time.

I was going to take a few long weekends this year, to go cycling around Scotland. Because I'm not going to be here forever. Plans are afoot etc etc.

I was supposed to be going to Madrid last weekend for five days and watch Real Madrid v Real Zaragoza, but we've postponed it until May(ish). I think we're also going to Norfolk. I might skip that one.

I want to go to Southern France, Prague, Reykjavik and Italy. And Ireland again.

I would like to visit NZ, Australia, Japan, Singapore, Thailand....

hmm spain and portugal have some really cool spots if you try to avoid tourist areas. if you make it to holland then I can put you up for a few days if you like. Amsterdam and Utrecht are nice cities (as is arnhem). we could go out and you can bitch about how small Holland is

I'm off to Canada (Toronto) at the end of June for 2 weeks. I'm going mainly for a big tattoo/piercing festival there followed by a tour designed to get some roots laid down with an eye to emigrating out there next year or the year after.

After that in August I'm going off on a tour of Estonia/Latvia/Lithuania/Russia which will end up in Moscow and back to the UK - Sicko will like me being in Estonia

/edit: yep mank, very cheap really. I've got DISTANT family in Estonia so no worries about crashing there and through them I've been put in touch with a couple of families in the two "L"'s. Russia I'm mainly staying in b&b's or hostels but am only there for about 5 days. Minsk, St Petersburg and Moscow.

Apart from a 4 day sojourn to Florence last year (- florence rules by the way -) I've not had a proper holiday since 2001.


Imagine my joy at probably being off to India (shimla) for 40 days, starting in May!!!!!


Imagine my pain at the reason I'm going is because I thought I'd spend my spare two grand on getting MCSE'D, CCNA'D and CCSE'D up to the eyeballs in a 40-day 9-5 one-on-one taught course with an indian fella......

Beginning of next year I'm going to take Kenny to Australia and New Zealand hopefully. I know it's terribly sad, but I want to see some of the locations where LOTR were shot, and also go whale watching, and possibly send Kenny down in a shark cage (he's fascinated/terrified of sharks). So because of that I doubt we'll be doing anything this year, maybe a last minute retreat type thing cheap on the net. Or possibly to the lake district?
