I just watched a few of the demos, docks, kleiner and barricade. Docks was impressive. Kleiner doubly so. Barricade made me cum.

It's just completely interactive, it's like nothing I've ever seen before. oh man

they may be, but that claim has literally been shot down and riddiculed in many places.

7th - There was a mail sent out that looked like an official press release, it fooled a few sites but then someone checked the mail header stuff and found it had been sent via ntl's mailservers.

If you bother to trawl through all the rumours about the release you can get some facts. These point to the maps not being finished. Apparently city17 (one of the largest game environments in the game) was only 70% complete.

I know it's only a game but I reckon there's a fair number of people out there who've upgraded there machine in anticipation of a Sept 30th release only to find by the time it comes out they could get better hardware for the same price they paid now.

Wonder if this will anger ATI in anyway, or maybe its push back is somthing to do with ATI. Guess there will be no HL2 games free with the first batch of ATIs new card.

Either way im sure Valve have lost a bit of custom and respect because of the late announcement of a delay. Poor PR all round on Valves part.

WAsn't HL delayed for ten months or something? I doubt bad PR will affect Valve's sales of HL2 in the slightest. AS for ATI to blame for the delay, go and read the hundreds of hl2 sites and realise what I have told you already. Its simply because the product isnt finished.
