After the release of Goblins vs Gnomes, we kept an eye on the state of game balance as more matches were played with the new cards we introduced to Hearthstone. After careful consideration we have decided to make a balance change to the card Undertaker.
The following balance change will be made in an upcoming patch:
Undertaker now reads: Whenever you Creates a creature under your control with the specified attributes - Deathrattle, gain +1 Attack.
summon a minion with The stated effect activates when the card is removed from play.
Undertaker was frustrating to play against. It often gained both Attack and Health stats significantly above those of other inexpensive minions very early in the game. With this change, we expect Undertaker will still be better than other 1-Mana minions when played in a deck with a The stated effect activates when the card is removed from play.
Deathrattle theme, but more likely to die in combat against other minions.
The golden version of Undertaker can be disenchanted for its full cost for a limited time once this balance change goes live.
We will continue to make balance changes to Hearthstone when we feel they are necessary in order to increase the variety of cards seen at all levels of play, with the goal of making Hearthstone a more fun and interactive game for everyone.
Yeah but it's still am 88 that does 8 damage straight away, unavoided etc. Eitehr any of your minions is dead(which face it, you'll probably have two-three to avoid aoe), or you take 8 to the face and then have to use atleast 2 cards to remove.
If it was "deal 8 damage at start of your turn", it'd be more balanced, or if it had less health.
People always say "well KT isn't bad if you have silence/SWD/BGH", yeah, but, how often do you?
Yeah Malygos decks are rare these days, but it used to be da bombo. If you manage to get a sorc app on table it becomes even more fun, or turn two alarmo malygos into sorc+missiles
Have to screenie/write down my windfury pala deck. It has some silly moment too. Though i really love my palaweenie deck, where all drops/hero can become monsters
Absolutely not true. You can make a deck that's viable and can get an over 50% winrate from basic cards. Especially after you put some effort in and unlock the basic class cards(which you can do against ai.
Ofcourse if you're new and don't know what you're doing, no number of cards will help you, but that's the learning curve.
