All who seem to think everything is a gripe, whine or complaint find another thread please.
Ok with tat out of the way, I have a question to all those who have more than 3 month of playing beheind them.
Has this game lost it's charm and become nothing more than Diablo 2?
Everywhere you go now you get met by PL'ers, farmers, rude people etc. the list goes on, but I haven't had my morning coffee yet so can't think of them all.
What I mean by this is, that when I started playing this game a while ago, 1½-2 years I think, can't rememeber exactly, it was all about working together and helping out despite of guild, nationality, gender, age, amount of plats (few had any) and so on and so forth.
I remember that everyone, and I do mean everyone ran to Castle Excalibur whenever the Call to Arms sounded in the realms (and mind you, back then Unity hadn't even been thought of, it was all cross guilds) lvl 5's as well as the few lvl 50's there were. I'm not specifically refering to the recent relic raid that lost Albion it's relics, I was on vacation and am therefor in no place to speak of what happened.
In my experience, when Call to Arms is called nowadays, people still rush to Sauvage to move out and bless them, but an increasing number of players seem to believe that it's ok for them to stay and farm in Emain or Sidi or whatever place that brings in fortunes, discussable glory. Another observation when the Call to Arms sounds is, that most people who meet there are people that also played the game when I was but a wee scout running around in Cammy hills and trying to scrape enough gold together to get my flecthing a couple of points up. The new players that have joined the game in the past months seems to not know that this is a cooperative game (cooperation = team work... Unfamiliar with the phrase? Look it up, will help you loads in real life)
I could go on and on with this for hours, but as you probably want to go help your realm friends level their characters I'll stop it now.
But tell me, in all honesty, am I the only that feels like I'm logging on to Battlenet and D2 when I hit my shortcut for DAoC?
If you have taken offence to this post, bless you, it was directed to you.
