He's refering to the fact that they are not treated as POWs I don't think he's arguing that they should be released immediately.

I corrected the name for you. Think of it this way, not all people who are catholic like the pope. I go to a catholic school, (NERF ME) even though I'm not catholic, and a lot of the people there don't like the pope. And yes, it's 8.6% from half the population, which doesn't sound like much, but when you look at the actual figures... 8.6% is 516,000,000 people. Which is a hell of a lot of people.

Actually I did read the post to which you refer and I know you were being sarcastic to him.. Your statement was still flawed as the reason for the pope's guard is that there are people who would kill him (or those around him) the same is true of the security activity surrounding the American president's vist (all though not only in defence of his life, but to surpress riots, which would be a product of hatred and therefore valid towards the point I was trying to make)

Unless of course you were being doubly sarcastic and do yourself understand that the reason for the security was defence rather than a token of standing.

You have me confused lol
So I give up with what you thought I ment when you thought i thought that vireb was being sarcastic then i thought you were thinking i was sarcastic ect... /faints too much imo lol:p

and coimy did you have to wear a cute little outfit?

No, and I never will. If faced with the choice of jumping off a particularly large cliff, or commiting social suicide by wearing a 'cute little outfit', I think we all know which one I'd choose.

completly agree 9/11 gave bush a break to create " A United America" in "A War Against Terrorism" no longer were the public slating bush telling him hes a cheating lying pathetic excuse for a president but bush Cleverly shifted the public eye onto "The War Against Terrorism" and made himself look great by it....

Lets just forget the fact that not only Australia and Spain decide the UN was wrong, so did the UK.

/cough

Seeaira,
you have been mentioning that people who don't come from the USA don't know what they are on about, more or less that is the jist of what you've been saying in some posts.

I'm like amazed at your comment about Australia deciding the UN was wrong. Prime Minister Howard (total fucktard btw) and his posse of politicians decided the UN was wrong. I have not seen a larger protest in Australia against the 'War in Iraq' in my lifetime here. The public (majority) is against the war in Iraq. However we strongly support our troops fighting in this war.

"....The Florida secretary of state in charge of elections paid $4 million to Database Technologies to go through Florida's voter rolls and remove anyone "suspected" of being a former felon. She did so with the blessing of the governor of Florida, George W's brother Jeb Bush - whose own wife was caught by immigration officials trying to sneak $19,000 worth of jewelry into the country with out declaring and paying tax on it....a felony in it's own right. But hey, this is America. We don't prosecute felons if they're rich or married to a governing Bush."

"The law states that ex-felons cannot vote in Florida. And sadly (though I'm confident that Florida's justice system was always unimpacheably fair), that means 31 percent of all black men in FLorida are prohibited from voting because they have a felony on their record. Harris and Bush knew that removing the names of ex-felons from the voter rolls would keep thousands of black citizens out of the voting booth."

"Black Floridians, overwhelmingly, are Democrats-and sure enough, Al Gore recieved the votes of more than 90 percent of them on November 7, 2000.
That is, 90 percent of those who were allowed to vote."

...................

"This entire incident stunk to the high heavens, but the American media ignored it, It took the British Broadcasting Corporation to dig deep into this story, running fifteen-minute segments on it's prime-time news program revealing all the sordid details and laying responsibility for the scam right at the doorstep of Governor Jeb Bush. It's a sad day when we have to look to a country 5,000 miles away to find out the truth about our own elections.
Eventually the LA Times and the Washington Post picked up the story, but it recieved little media attention. "

....................................................................................................

..I can't possibly type all that chapter out, as much as I'd love to, although it is a must read.
I believe we have to dig or take notice of the people who dig on our behalf underneath what the mass media tells us. Just because it's on the news doesn't make it true. Infact I am overwhelmed when I think about how much shit we are spoon fed by this world as to what's "really going on" out there. I can't be in a billion places at once so like everyone else I 'rely' on various media for info about the world. But I don't trust and believe in it. I rarely watch news or TV as it literally makes me sick to be treated as such a moron by the rich and powerful.

And I posted that there because a few of you mentioned about Florida... I don't even know if that book is entirely true.. who does?? But I know I trust Michael Moore 99.99999% more than I would a Bush or a Journo.

That excerpt taken from 'Stupid White Men' - By Michael Moore. :great:
