It'd suck balls, the world isn't really interesting enough to stand on its own and it's pretty much impossible to make politics play the main role - closest we've gotten is Eve.Give a GoT MMO

As for this episode, I really liked it. Lot's of character exposition, the only real complaint I have is Theon's flaccid penis, if you're gonna show one at all - at least make sure it acts natural.
The gay scene seems to have gathered a lot of complaints from the book fans but I honestly can't see why, it was 'hinted' at in the books and while you might make an argument that doing it this way loses its subtlety the only reason it wasn't in the books was because GRRM didn't want to/couldn't write a gay scene, that and lack of PoV's. Renly is after all a fairly major character, and this scene accomplished a lot setting him up for the future - showing his belief that he'd make a better king than Robert and it also showed his alliance to the Tyrell's. That said, he only shaved one armpit and the slurping noises are comical to say the least.
it kinda is for the impIt wasn't a cliffhanger though...
GRRM said:Back when I split A FEAST FOR CROWS into two books, I said in my infamous afterword, "Meanwhile, Back at the Wall..." that Tyrion, Dany, and Jon Snow would be back in the next book, and so they are. Those three characters dominate A DANCE WITH DRAGONS. Out of 73 chapters, 35 concern their exploits; sixteen viewpoints, aye, but just three of them make up almost half of the book.
I heard it was a double episode as well, although the second one went on HBO's online service or something. Can't find it at the usual places tho so might not be true.
surely some clever cnut will sort it out
edit: they have indeed
