So, speculation for next week...
I'll put it in spoiler tags to keep the anally retentive happy even though it's pure guesswork
King's Landing on fire
Jaime kills Cersei
The fleet sails for Westeros and/or Euron turns up
The Wall comes down

Tower of joy!!!

That was a very poetic end if i do say so myself.

Wun Wun lost lost :'(. Need more giants

Why didnt they arm him? He would ravage that shield wall if he had a club

I thought he'd have been better off just picking up horses and corpses and lobbing them into the fray. But then again, giants aren't supposed to be the smartest creatures in the world.

I was kind of hoping it would be like Obeliks crashing through a Roman patrol but alas it wasn't.

My guesses and speculations:

Maybe Tower of Joy scenes as I heard the guy who plays young Eddard Stark will star in episode 10.

Some kind of betrayal might happen between Jaime and the Freys, similar to the red wedding, from the looks of the preview.

The wall coming down will be next seasons cliffhanger as too much stuff is happening in Kings Landing. We may see Bran just passing the wall or getting close to it.

Brienne and Pod get captured by the Brotherhood of Banners and are taken to their leader, revealed to be Lady Stoneheart who was resurrected years ago similar to the priests resurrection instead of the final kiss and has been leading it in secret.

Also I heard the guy who directed episode 9 is also directing episode 10 so hopefully it will be just as good.

I'm hoping for some Queen on Queen lezza action, it was a bit flirty.
Giant should have had a weapon at least.
Loved the final scene, justice at its best.

Brilliantly directed episode

In classic fantasy yes ofc the giant could've just run amok trampling on them and going into beserker blood lust mode, but I actually think his toning down was more realistic, and left the humans to dominate the action.

Not going to speculate on whats coming up. I've no idea and kinda like it that way. Looking forward to more White Walker action. As undead go, they rock.

Looking forward very much to episode ten.

I have just been reading that next year only has 7 episodes, one of the directors this year said he did not think he would do one next year due to the numbers. If it is true I hope at least two of them are 2hr (90min) episodes to make up for it.

Brilliantly directed episode

That sequence where the cavalry rides to the aid of those trapped by the Boltons is very different to what we've seen before on this series. The slow motion shots, the ROTK-style music, it was fantastic. I don't think I've ever seen anything like it. There's just so much in that episode to admire, you almost forget the dragons kicking series arse in the first half.

I wonder what on earth they'll do in the season finale. Every season seems to have either an epic or really upsetting end. Season 5 had Hardhome, then Drogon kicking arse, then Jon Snow being murdered. What will they do this time?

Just catching up. I know it's not filmed there but it looks like Carcasonne! Well worth a visit especially off season. I love it.

Hardhome was e09 wasnt it? E9 tends to be epic while e10 gives a cliffhanger :) my bet is on r+l=j theory, cersei vs high septon and night walkers advancing on castle black :)

Just got round to watching it, absolutely amazing. You kind of knew that Davos and chums wouldn't be far behind Jon as he's waiting for the onrushing army but it was still a glorious moment when they all thundered past.

Anyway,
WALKING DEAD COMIC SPOILER WARNING FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN'T READ THE WALKING DEAD COMICS OR JUST PLAIN DON'T GIVE A SHIT ABOUT THE WALKING DEAD
As Jon looked across at Sansa when he was beating the bejesus out of Ramsey I had a horrible feeling they were going to keep him alive and imprison him a la Negan but then I remembered what show I was watching.

That last scene was poetry, I can't think of a better way of dispatching that 'orrible bastard. He has to be the worst (and therefore best) baddy I can remember seeing in a TV show.

I would have preferred it if a few direwolves were still kicking about. My dogs > your dogs sort of thing.

I think she's had a makeover. She's much more attractive this series. Either that or she is just maturing.

She isn't just an empty wallflower anymore. Bland female characters that serve to slow/restrict the plot typically end up disliked ( Skyler from Breaking bad ).

That bitch daughter from Homeland who ended up being so irrelevant and distracting that I forgot her name.

You fucking what?

And which bit of the GoT ep looked like Carcassonne? Nothing jumped out at me and I live just down the road. :\
Castle about 2 episodes ago with the pointy turrets... not quite right tho.

Oh right I thought you meant the last episode. I was going to say, there's a massive pyramid and a big field covered in bodies and neither reminded me of Carcasssonne.
