Not being familiar with trashy papers or trashy TV programs I've no idea what that is supposed to mean.

Can you explain?
Well you're familiar enough to know that one is a paper and the other is a TV program, and that they are both trashy, all you need to know really..use your deductive skills.

Well, you said that this thread sounds like a mirror write-up of big brother. Mostly recently people have been saying that this season is a bit slow and boring - with DaGaffer saying that the writers have been cutting huge swathes of boring shit from a couple of the books and that actually this season's more interesting than the books.

So, no. Even with my deductive skills I'm not sure what you're on about. For a start, the thread is comparing books to television - and I can't imagine readers of the mirror or watchers of big brother actually read books - never mind a series like A Song of Ice and Fire. Other than that a few people are commenting on how fit some of the people in the series are. Which is kinda normal whether you're thick or not - (and I presume you're attempting to make a statement to do with lack of intellect somewhere in this thread - otherwise you'd not have used the mirror or big brother in your analogy?).

But meh, that's all I can come up with. No. I don't really get what you're saying - unless it was incoherent drivel. Which is why I asked for an explanation - because it certainly isn't obvious...

Just watched 5/7. That means three more episodes then nothing until April 2016. They better pick up the pace for the last 3

I'm enjoying this season.... It is a slightly slower pace but sometimes a journey meanders a bit before a destination is reached....

I can see it's meandering loads and can see that all the pieces are coming together for something interesting to happen. But they could have done everything that's happened in half the time and injected some pep and verve into the proceedings.

There's just too much pointless shit that isn't moving the story on tbh. They could take a leaf out of the walking dead's recent writing - and just make decisions rather than dither so much.

As much as I loved that bird's tits in the last episode, and I did love 'em, scenes like that could perhaps go. Yep, they do set a feel of the show, but diminishing returns and all that. And all of the long slow drawn out expository pieces. Better writing and you could combine an explanation with an action - more things packed into the same scene - story moves on faster...

Don't click if you've not seen 5/7

Tits aside, the thing with the poison was like a comedy scene from Indiana Jones "the antidote to the poison you just swallowed Dr Jones". Meh

I didn't actually mind the slow parts in the books as they gave some nice back story.

All you doubters and "this series is boring" people can put your bottom-hurt away. That was fucking epic.

Very good, not bothered about it deviating from the book any more if they can keep that up.

Show's the budget difference.

Remember the first season where there was no large scale conflicts? :p

I'm looking forward to John Snow and Tyrion Lanister joining forces to double team Daenerys whilst slaying the White Zombies with swords and wild fire.

I feel that the way the show's going this'll be a very probably plot development.

I think that's the plot development that everyone's been expecting in the books since around book 2

Assumes Tyrion and Jon Snow are both half-Targaryan

So, Valyrian steel eh? That's new.

I was half expecting a dragon to come swooping out of the sky and burning the white walkers+undead.

No it isn't. Didn't he use it to kill the undead guy in series/book 1? He just didn't put 2 and 2 together.

The Undead guys aren't Wights. They can be "killed" with arrows, fire or other type maiming, its just difficult. Until this point the only thing we've seen a Walker killed by is Dragonglass.

So Daenerys will be the saviour of Westeros and Jamie will use his Valyrian steel sword in a comical left-handed way to fight the Walkers.

It would be more awesome if his metal hand was made of Valyrian steel. Punching their heads off Dead Rising style.
