Richmond Park is awesomesauce. Bloody huge but great. Need to figure out some of the better photo spots. There are brilliant photo albums on the park alone, might get one soon maybe. I don't go enough considering how close it is.

Yeah just did a massive ride around Bushy Park and that is really nice as well in this weather. I also decided to then cycle on the towpath from Kingston bridge to Hampton Court bridge, there is massive amounts of work going on in the grounds of the palace, on Hampton Court Green and on the surrounding roads for the Olympic time trials next week with tents, cables, etc every where.

As long as the loonies don't try something then it will probably pass-off without being a total mare. If an attack doesn happen though it will be days of gridlock for the poor bastards who have to work and live there.

It's pretty easy to tell them apart, the North Korean one is made from human skin.

Best Korea will win the world cup at the Olympics against Manchester UTD and Kim Jong-Un will score 10 goals and save 5 penalties every game.

Well that was about 25 miles cycled through both parks and they are putting a lot of the spectator barriers in to place today, shit loads of them.

Friend working at the Olympics saw the opening ceremony dress rehearsal and said it was absolutely amazing, which is odd since he doesn't usually say that about anything. I'll believe it when I see it.

Don't get the idea to have animals involved, to show the classic scene of England? Can't be good for them, fireworks, loud noises, etc. Why not just show the modern scene of England? A pregnant 16 year old with a Staffy and no lead.

Aye one of my friends is in it, she's raving about it (as I'm sure any participant would). She even got a mention in the telegraph the other day.

So first day of the Olympic timetable. Train into work (0633 from Ashford Int) was pretty much empty, tube also fairly empty.

At StPs however I noticed dozens and dozens of those pole/tape barrier things. Some were setup in the middle of the platform in box shapes, too keep it clear or something I guess. Somewhat concerned about the journey home tonight....

Amateur, enjoy if the trains are late and such, you can use it as a great excuse for A: Not being bothered to move from her place. B: Act like a trooper after SUCH a hard journey home to still have energy for her :giggle:

The moaning in this thread is unbelievable..... I understand both the positives and negatives and yes I remember only too well the London commute.... However if there is one thing I have learned when travelling anywhere (I fly once or twice a week) and travel by train within Sweden (as unreliable as any other country) is to relax... As long as I do not over sleep and have sorted my stuff in advance I consider everything else out of my control, what will be will be :)

I love city life, the good outweighs the bad, or has done for me :). Those of you who are in town at the moment are about to be a part of something which happens once in a lifetime :)

Oh to the person who complained about the cost of the Turkish meal.... 40 quid for four is nothing... If I am out 40 is probably a minimum for one person.... However that's Stockholm for you... (14 quid for a glad of mediocre red *laughs*)

And considering you need two eyes for accurate depth perception, that's fucking impressive. Better than everyone else in the world who has two eyes.

Not all archers use both eyes. Personally I don't....not that I am an archer but I do shoot a bow from time to time.

Hey, it's still a great achievement..but not as good if he was actually completely blind shooting arrows about the place!

Stereopsis is pretty essential if you're shooting a moving target, but for fixed targets binocular vision isn't as essential as you think. Most archers do keep both eyes open (its how I was taught), but that's mainly because it helps you see the arrow in flight more easily rather than help accuracy on its own. Also, its actually not true that people with monocular vision have no depth perception at all; the brain fills in the blanks through other cues.

I never said they had no depth perception, just it affects the accuracy of the perception.

And lets shit on the guy for breaking a world record! IT'S NOT FUCKING HARD IS IT!? :D
