I'm not moaning about the Olympics themselves. What is annoying is that the organizers have decided everything else stops for the Olympics, sadly working doesn't. Thats my only gripe about the Olympics.
I pay £600pcm for my train ticket, they've canceled my usual train, put a new one in at a different time/takes longer and said "You will have to queue for trains" can i queue for my ticket costs back then please?

Hey, I want it all to be vibrant and great five years from now, I own property around there; I just hope they sort out what they're going to do with the Stadium quickly and don't get stuck in 10 years of planning applications. The Bird's Nest has barely been used (that City v Arsenal friendly is one of the biggest things that's happened there), and London has a lot of stadium capacity.

So far my journeys this week have been ok.

Get the 6.07 from Ash Vale to Waterloo, always on time, though today is was more empty than full even for a Friday. The way home has been ok, the Tube is getting busier and was tonight. I have to travel through two of the busiest stations during the Olympics, fucking typical, Bank and Liverpool Street Station. Tonight Bank were announcing that Monday is going to be fucked up and they will be implementing 1-way routes through the station. Gotta fucking love that

Speak for yourself. My Millennium Eve was memorable for all the right reasons. Standing on the seafront with a glass of champagne watching the whole of the North Wales coast almost simultaneously going up in fireworks was a sight I'll always remember.

As for the sporting thing in London. It's something that's happening 250miles away so it's a matter of supreme indifference to me. I'm more interested in the Euromillions lottery tonight thanks.
