My Millennium Eve was memorable for all the right reasons.

I missed the millennium because I busy shagging a teenage slut at a flatparty.

China spent close to $40 billion on the 2008 Beijing Olympics, but had clear political goals in showcasing the positive aspects of a nation known for Communism. The opening ceremony alone cost in excess of $100 million

They spent 2-3 times more and probably the same again for the closing ceremony, it was visually stunning if a bit souless in places. Personally I am hoping for some eyecandy with a bit of humour and warmth, that is something we can do well.
