He was just a bit cocky with the crowd, playing up to them. A bit full of himself

Although saying that he came over ok when he was being interview afterwards

Such a cunt.

I disagree there. These athletes are feasting on the crowd support just as they should in a home games... I think he was playing to the crowd and returning their cheers with confidence on the field.

Sturridges penalty was a joke. Can't wait for him to tell us he's a striker!!!!

Korea played far better football on the night, and could have scored more.

If only the players showed some fucking passion.

Ha ha fuckin ha i cant find a paper that even mentions that they got knocked out by korea, if the olympis does one thing i hope it will remind the goons in this country what real sporting endevour is. What a bag of unintresting shite, even linekar dismissed them 'nothing changes' and moved on to the next segment.

Did have a lol at my facebook feed last night, loads of "Woo Ennis/Farah/GB/etc" posts, and sandwiched in between all of them was a

"Sturridge you twat" :ROFLMAO:

Any other sport and you're praised for your endeavours in the oympics, until it's football.

So much bullshit around the football still.

No appreciation of the skills of the other teams and the fact that the majority of them have played as a team together for the best part of a year in preparation. Some really promising performances by young English and Welsh players which should be praised, we are great at stamping people into the ground for failure rather than recognising progress.

England loves nothing more than shitting all over "pampered" footballers the minutes anything goes wrong. When it comes to football we could do without the press altogether to be honest.

There were some brilliant peformances, however your talking about premier league players here. Sturridge, Ramsay, Bellamy, Giggs, Richards, Allen, Cleverley. Along with others who will be coming into the league this season.

Sturridge has been horrible for the whole tournament up front, little to no influence at all, and that penalty attempt just summed it up. You've got Koreans smashing them into the top corner, and yet he almost falls over himself trying to stutter step and then drops his arse as the keeper just stands still.

You are talking such shite, you are talking about players who don't play together regularly as a team, it doesn't matter if they are premier league players or not. Sturridge got a couple of good goals, judging him on a bad penalty is really harsh.

Youve got to look at the football as a transition thing. There were some good performances by young players who now have big tournament experience. We kept the ball well in the main. Sordell looked promising, the defenders had the confidence to actually pass the ball, butland looks a quality keeper and its something to build on. Imo its a pity this will be the only time gb enter.
