Then how can you possibly make a statement on how the scout class IS? That's what was spoken about. Not the impression you are stuck with after what perhaps was a lucky streak, who knows? And you certainly won't know that without playing the class extensively.

Lecture on the playability of classes you know extensively, not the ones you don't.. Or, go ahead, but don't expect alot of the ones who has played the class extensively to necessarily agree with you.

You won't see me say what is and what's not important for a Shadowblade. I may know some stuff about them, but it's mostly second hand information. And what you said is also most likely that or things you made up your mind with after a few ports into emain.

People have too fucking many opinions. Probably just as many as there are playstyles, some people depend on e.g IP, some don't. There are plenty of high RR scouts without IP, but a shitload of passives. Though most people take the easy 'oops, I screwed up' abilities, as active abilities more directly affect their playing aswell as the ones you play against. You see the effect more clearly. And so does the opponent

the fact still remains, some scouts do v.well against assasins 1on1.

Is a class underbalanced if most peoples performance with that class is under average, bar a few people who manage? You tell me.

Scouts ARE underbalanced though, it's a known issue since the scout team lead knowingly and fully aware let the scout class move into retail slightly underbalanced since he was promised additional archer abilties in patches after shipment.

This mainly concerns Scout melee though. That's most likely one of the things that WILL be upped when the Scouts turn comes. Archery is also being put under the microscope.

Anyone who thinks a scout can take a sb in straight melee is a
moron. There is not 1 scout who can win a melee fight against
a sb with purge up. They can beat tanks ffs.

Some time ago i had a fight against one.

Shoot him twice before he closed in, slamed him and crit,
and he nearly won, even tho i had ip up.
I hit him for maybe 200 dam, he hit me for 2500 in melee, and
i do have nearly 50 in trust.

Dunno what planet sbs who think scout has any chance live on,
but glad LA is getting nerfed now. Maybe the worst wanna be noobs will leave then.

Ps : Even with dodger 5 and mob 5 and ..., u will lose. These abilities are not worth it. At the moment best choice would
be to take TS, find a full group and gank. In primetime u will
get atleast 2 sbs each 1/2 hour that way, giving a nice payback in rp.

Pps : Aussie has last i talked to him 21 trust, god knows how
he beats a sb in melee.

I would like to rephrase that. A buffed scout can beat an unbuffed NS (yesterday I beat Sweeny 2 times in Odin's, I was buffed, he was not. He got me down to 15%hp). An unbuffed SB would still own me, although they would be down to around 25%hp.
But I guess that is cause I'm still lowish rr, only r4l8 so far.

My scout was 37 slash + IP + con + toughness.
Fully buffed I could do unbuffed SB's fairly easy.

Fairly easy meaning I had popped IP + Purge and was at 50% or below .....
Mostly I had to resort to end-stones also and in critical cases FA.
This assuming a fully unbuffed SB without IP.

any scout tried 50thrust, and dodger 3 or something like that?... slam is very crap vs assasins, cos of no to-hit, your lucky if you manage to slam them imo..

Slam is pretty easy to get in these days. Even on RR7+. However it's mostly purged or you can't do enough damage with critshould+normal. Some SB's seem to have 2000 life buffed .
