I spoke to a sports injury guy on twitter who told me what to do. I don't think 2 weeks was enough rest period :(

Did arms back and legs, followed by cardio and some circuit training today! Felt so awesome after *grins*! Tomorrow Pilates and more cardio :).

No weight put on since I started back seriously eating or giving up smoking (the medical profession says it is acceptable to put on 2 kgs from giving up smoking due to changes in metabolism and it is ok when reseeding to put on 2 kgs). I've tried to counter both with exercise and good food choices over a difficult period... So far so good!

Oooooo forgot to say today managed to do my cardio at an average of 140 hbm in November I was struggling at 120hbm \o/

I track all my rides on Sportstracklive (app on my Android phone). I also track my heart rate. When I return home and press the "finish" button, the app uploads the track to the app's website. The website has a "download all tracks as *.GPX files". I downloaded everything (about 350 files) to a folder on my computer.

Then I created a free account on Strava. Then I uploaded all those files to Strava (you can do 25 at once so it doesn't take long). Once I'd done that, I went here:

http://www.jonathanokeeffe.com/strava/map.php

In there, you put your Strava account number (easy to find, just click around the place until the url changes to include your account number, six digits). Then you let it do its thing. With a few hundred tracks it takes quite a while, but the results are pretty fascinating. The image I saved doesn't include a few tracks that are well outside the Manchester area.
Cheers man, just had a peek on the Endomondo site (sports tracker I use) and I can download .GPX files of each of my workouts. Unfortunately it looks like I've got to download them one at a time, so it might take a while!

Did my first event at the weekend, a local hill race.
4.6km, 275m ascent.
Was no chance in hell of keeping up with the professionals that complete it in 21mins or so, but I set a time I can aim to beat next year!

whats a fitbit

www.fitbit.com it measures activity and sleep :). I got the fitbit1 (the ultra is the end of its product cycle) but I'd like the scales eventually too!

Lee lives in a really rough part of Essex with the highest aids rate so you have to be quick to survive!

Really Himse? :p

I used to run cross country at school, im naturally skinny! I'm just getting my fitness up again before I start to build some muscle. I'm not awfully unfit, just not what I used to be!

Anyway, that's what the timer says, I dunno maybe i'm not that fast haha.

I'm really lucky in some respects, I have a very high metabolism!

But sucks for trying to put on muscle, ah well, my main goal is to be fit enough to run for 90 minutes, so I can play football again!

5 minute miles, that's almost Olympic athlete speed! :p

Awesome, cheers.

I went on a cross trainer last night, apparently I run in between 15/18 kph?! Im sure that's way too fast?!

Running will tell you how fast you run. The counter on a cross trainer will tell you what the counter on the cross trainer has been programmed at. It has no real world equivalence.

I think you're in the wrong profession if it is accurate! :p Get a sports tracker on your phone man and go for a run, hopefully get a more accurate reading!

87.9 this morning 0o

You need to go below your ideal weight TdC as carbs and their associated water will bump that up a few kilos. Grats though nice progress. For me I am 0.2 kg down today on my pre December weight so super pleased!

Note fitbit is brilliant I recommend it or something similar
