best example... czech republic against greece on Euro 2004 greece defended 90 minutes at all costs CZ did about 40 shots on goal and yet greece went to the final and beat portugal on it, when also portugal were far superior.

Now, they have beaten us, it was bitter but i dont blame the referee or whatever for it.. i blame the portuguese team that couldnt overcome greece twice... as a matter of fact none could.

Can remember the game, Portugal deserved to win it but I don't see the relavence. Greek Players were not coning the ref with dives and play acting that I can recall. So apart from a loss which was a bitter pill to swallow for the fans there is no synergy.

Why don't you just admit that some of the Portuguese players cheated and played in manner that was unsporting. The facts are there on celuloid, diving with no contact made, play acting being hurt and running to the ref asking for cards to be issued. Unsporting and unnecessary for players with great skill.

As an England and Leeds United fan I am used to crushing disappointments, it comes with the territory but at least we go out with our heads held high. The team played superb on the pitch and the fans out in Germany were a credit to us.

As for the game, Ronaldo is a twat, plain and simple. The ref wasn't going to even card Rooney until that ponce stuck himself where he shouldn't. Rooney shouldn't have lost his cool and pushed him granted, but Ronaldo got exactly what he wanted, a red card for his supposed club team mate. It typifies all that is wrong with football in this tournament, the cheats, the divers, the playacters are running rings around what have been very poor referees.

I never thought I would think this but I am now hoping for a Germany v France final because those 2 countries have both played football in the correct way so far in this tournament and it should be a great football match.
