Labour are currently done for. They need to realign themselves. For one thing, this is not the 1970s. Socialism is not as popular as people think.

I was driving to work the other week listening to 5Live and I actually laughed for a few minutes at a quote I heard. This is not word for word....

I suppose there might be racists out there whose economic instincts outweighed their racism on the day, but given a historic, once-in-a-generation opportunity to exercise their racism under the guise of “sovereignty” or any other “acceptable” justification for Brexit, are you honestly trying to tell me racists were likely to be remain voters?

Sensible means sensible... there aren't different definitions. Maintaining the status quo would've been the sensible thing to do. Something that isn't sensible is reckless, and I can't think of a better adjective for what's about to happen.
