I assume the open beta means you need the actual beta installation and not the pre-downloaded version of the full game?

Saying that, it's not yet allowing me to install the full game yet, which is a bitch. I want to play it now just to get an idea of the game again, but part of me wants to wait it out.

It's only the first half of act 1, so won't be big spoilers. Plus they've picked out some story elements. Besides, playing the beta just makes you want more Not burn you out on the game or anything

also waiting to get it on the cheap, not paying 45 quid for DD, blizzard can sit on that and swivel

Tesco Entertainment are doing £5 off selected preorders Diablo 3 is included and it drops the price to £27.91 cheapest you gonna see the game for a while.

goto options > account > change region to The Americas - beta is only on american servers.

finally gave in and tried it out after hours of taunts from the wife ;< enjoyed it and cant wait for the 15th.

Had my first 2 games, the first game i joined a guy and he wouldn't wait up so had no chance to actually enjoy anything as he smashed his way through the level, second game i got a group of newbs who wanted to take their time.

After trying a barb first hand now tis what i'll be rolling, initially I was gonna go sorc or monk but after playing barb it just feels so well done... nothing like D2 barb which was pretty boring until you got the toys later on, this was just fun from lvl 1.

cool, i always found the classes in D2 to be a bit MMOy - you have to level them for a few hours to get some "cool stuff" to do

i took a witch doctor to 9 and finished the beta last night, i like throwing jars of spiders at people

Anyone planning to play ALOT at release? I am taking some days off to relax and play. If anyone wants to team up for company to enjoy the story in normal, and be a team in nightmare, hell, inferno I'm game. Doing achievements and MF runs aswell

Go Options -> Gameplay -> Interface -> Elective Mode

Agree! Barbarian just feels so incredible, and plays so well! The feel when you come to the jar event and use rend with a 2hand hammer and 50 skeletons bleed to death is truely awesome!

Aye, I was surprised with the baba really I always expect melee to be the cliche "Boring until later" kind of route.. but the melee in D3 just seems so refined/different.

Got to lvl 12 with my Witch Doctor and had to exit the game as was getting way too addicted, could have ran that same Act 1 all day lol

Witch doctor seems fun... their damage is abit arse at the start tho but they can still kill stuff effectively.

Yeah I didn't like my WD to begin with but once I got more toys it became really fun.

their damage prob wont pick up until your pets get poisons on hit and you get more poison skills later.

Like you have to wait between drinking heal potions now? that's stupid.. plus it seems you have to run around to talk to npc x a lot in the quests?

I'll probably still get it.. but I'm not as excited as I was any more
