As I have said before the game is now almost a bro shooter, you won't get far any more as one guy, infection is all part of getting people to work as a team.

No idea what you mean about bro shooter, but atm if you get infected you die almost always, AB is rarer than anything, I've only found any I think twice since the last patch. I don't like it.

This confuses me, it's not yet shown on the EU steam yet its on the USA steam despite the Arma team being from Europe and Dean being from New Zealand so the question becomes why on earth are USA people getting early access to it first?

Most people lost interest due to all the pushbacks. The dayZ hype died down a while back, leaving only the fans. I wasn't too happy that they shunned other then "true dayz players" myself.

I lost interest partly because of the delays and partly because of the direction it was going, more Bro shooter than survival game.

Heck, sometimes I think a good mod of Fallout would be better.

No but rl friend is playing it atm, said it great and will be hard for DayZ standalone to beat given what they've shown of standalone so far.

Yup, there prob will be bro shooter servers still but i guess there are also servers that are very strict with the rules - which will be awesome.

Quite funny, his attitude at the start and end of that video has backfired on him and his feeble attempt at humour, people are basically saying "Fuck you Dean Hall you ungrateful bastard" now various forums/messageboards.

The game looks great, really shows how they've used their time really well on obviously important stuff like pretty looking lady zombies and sunbeams. 1.5 years of hype and development well spent!

You can really see the smarter zombie AI in action as well.

Thing with DayZ is that if they didn't tease with the Arma II mod, they wouldn't have been able to get the awareness to make the stand alone, but yeah, they shouldn't have announced the stand alone coming out, but on the flip side I remember people bitching that there were no updates coming out
