I think it means there won't be any stat cap or toa bonuses (alittle stat cap was introduced in SI right? but since they won't implant that..)

No stat cap increases until ToA as far as i can remember.

Anyone else feel a bit iffy about the Theurgist removal? I won't be playing Alb I just think it's more sensible to adress the issue of pet spamming rather than removing the class completely, especially as it's an ORIGINal class.

I dunno re Theurg. They are a great class. Back pre SI they were still significant for good Alb groups. I think the increase in casting speeds and caps helped them quite a lot post toa. I dunno, I wonder if Alb might have the short end of the wedge with Origins. It will have to be seen how they spread some of the Thug's abilities amongst other classes. It could go the other way. Mids having Valks makes them very strong still especially if it retains charge.

Hib may get some alterations to Ments, which might be something of interest as they always seemed to be taken away from group spots by the utility of the Eld and the chanter debuff.

Determination being removed potentiially makes having charge essential, even if CC duration is significantly reduced. What that does is go and do exactly what used to happen, make groups for only a select few classes. Hihi multiple savage groups etc, only this time its zerkers or valks, mercs and Bms.

They've at least got historical fact on their side, we can hope. :)

Those changes are new how and for who? For the RR1 zerg with 0% in resists?

Groups ran 26%+ resists, mezz feedbacks, demezzers and mezz immune tanks so the duration was low already.

In long fights you will now get mezzed more often for less duration.

Same beer.

Ofc no one wants to see OF red AoE mezz with 400 RR1 in it.

A Det5 hero/warrior/armsman should be mezzed for less than 9 seconds iirc currently so by the Origins ruleset they'll..... blink & miss it?

Thought I read somewhere that determination might also get removed? I might be mistaken, I usually am. ;) Will be loller for roots with no determination and cc constantly reapplying as immunity interval will be shorter.

What was that inane time when tanks were rooted for like half an hour? Was some time between the changes for Det. It sucked, tanks were still rooted when rest of group dead. :| Strong shortbow 4tw.

I think you got a point there. It can easily get boring to level a char when there's no option to do anything else than pve. Battlegrounds are brilliant in that you can take a break from pve at any level. If there were battlegrounds in AoC for example, I would most likely have been playing it still. Reason I'm not, is because I got bored to death by pve and quests, and having no option to do something else like battlegrounds once in a while.

Even in DAOC, pve can get tedious and boring. Pve will always be pve.

I agree with what mani said :( sadly I can't change what mythic are doing.. I doubt heroes/armsman would even need det5 to counter that mezz tbh prob det4 max + Resists.. still get det5 tho I guess for roots etc unless they plan on reducing those durations also.

No, dragonfang will remain 5 seconds :) or I should think so any way :p all they said about styles was something like this "All styles will remain what they are currently with some modifications" so god knows what they'll do.

With the option of taking part in RvR anyway via quests and the chances of you bumping into people at your level I doubt thats its that big of an issue not having BG's.

As long as they sort out a method to stop high levels ganking unless attacked first then it should be fine.

CC has always been an issue they never fully sorted out.

Mezz will still be crurical and the Bards mezz is still the best in hib.

Feel sorry for skalds, they will again be relegated to speedbots/cannon fodder.

Mezz will hardly be crucial - you're looking at 25 seconds max for a mezz. As they're saying that the RA's will stay as they are currently with some amending then every man & his dog that can have Det will have & the days of keeping a high dps mage out of the fight with a timely mezz are a thing of the past. Basically mezz is reduced to an interrupt (which is all it really is now but with even less chance of locking someone out).

What's a skald got to do with it? They're hardly mids primary mezzer are they? They'll do what the do now - provide speed & interrupt via dmg (which is more fun that interrupting for no damage & very little chance to keep someone 'controlled').

I foresee many a mid tank group on this server ;).

The RA's will be a mix of OF + NF not what they are currently. :p Mages will become a thing of the past tbh tank grps will roll over this server, no spell pierce/cast speed/spell damage etc casters will be quite useless as far as DPS is concerned. mid tank grps with 3x healers will be hard on this server.

Might lose me when I'm sick of pve and have no battlegrounds to motivate me for the long road to 50. Unless you PL me ofc. :p

I really hope they make it fun, aye. If I meet lots of lvl30ish people in the RvR zones when I'm lvl30. Then I won't complain. :D

well i dont think they will open more than 2 servers. since they probably want high pop.

And I doubt battlegrounds will be a problem since they are going to change the frontiers to include low level rvr zones and have some anti-grief system. The best exp spots will probably be in the frontiers which means there will be alot of even-level fighting about them.
