Code of Conduct

Hopefully you will all have a read of the Announcement, the Code of Conduct applies to all our forums and was put together with help from the DAoC moderators and some of the leading posters from the forums (Summo, Will, Embattle and TdC). Thanks go to them for their input.

If you have any comments to make about it, be they criticisms, questions or suggestions as to how it could be improved, then please post them in this thread.

Read it. Very reasonable - I was wondering if you were going to ban all bad language (which makes a forum kinda childish in feeling and fairly dull). So I'm still OK to call TDC a ***** as long as it's not repeated too often Kewl

Bad form. I thought bad language wasn't being moderated unless it was excessive. Loose slang for female genitalia isn't really that bad

There's only two words on the filter list at the moment, one because it is the most complained about and the other because it is a racist term. Swearing is still permitted - in moderation.

That female genitalia word is also the most comedic when used well - pls consider un-banning it

That is supposed to apply to threads like where one person posts a line and then the next post develops the story - there have been one or two like that in this forum.

It has a purpose, to entertain. Similarly with the desktop thread, it's interesting and people aren't posting purely to boost their post count.

I think you'll find its more to do with the fact of it being an unacceptable word to use in the real world compared to many other swear words.

I like the code of conduct and how its exlained. It will make this place a lot friendlyer.
