Hmm, seems May is genuinely considering following Clarkson

"It works well with the 3 of us as a package, so that will require some very careful thought" Hammond will likely be the same.

So he has!

"Former TV presenter only remembered for saying 'Oh cock'. Or was that the other bloke?"

Seems his mind is made up then, just need to hear from Hammond now.

Hammond is tweeting as if he's going to move on.

I think the multiple ventures that Hammond has had shows he won't be tied down to loyalty as much as May.

If the price is right you'd be surprised and Hammonds shows haven't exactly been ground breaking material :p

If they try and copy it with new presenters it will just be a pale imitation. So they will have to reinvent the format again. Probably have to have someone of non white origin and and woman presenter for balance now a days

Precisely, which makes me question his loyalty.

May on the other hand has done good shows, that's probably because he's not said 'yes' to everything.

The logical thing to do would be to sell 'Top Gear' to another channel.

I mean, imagine the firms jumping all over Sky if they get The Top Gear on their channels, the advertisement income, rather than Cars and Stuff.

Shame but considering what happened the BBC had no real choice, without doubt I suspect something else will turn up.

May has indeed done good shows, some of the best the BBC has/had to offer quite frankly. I think Hammond is in a hard place, on the one hand he could say fuck it and continue working for the BBC (May could too) on the other hand if they sold out so to speak the fanbase would just hate them for the rest of their careers and they know that, so making a decision isn't very easy.

The 3 of them should just get together, approach the BBC and buy the rights to Top Gear and take it to another network, the BBC must know at this point that Top Gear will never be the hit it was after losing 2 of the 3 cast (so far) that made the show so great.

Top Gear just wouldn't seem right without Clarkson and I've my doubts it will work without him eitherm he is a prize prat for causing this issue.

Why bother? They can just walk away and start something new, Top Gear will go back to having no commercial worth and their new show will boom.

They will all end up on Sky.

That's hardly a case for continuing to do it. Given the revelations about media personalities that have come to light over the last few years, sweeping anything under the carpet is a really bad idea.
Things get swept under the carpet a bazillion times a day to keep the ball rolling, it only becomes an issue if too many people know or they are out to get you, which is exactly what happened here.
The pendulum swings both ways and I can assure you Clarkson will come out fighting with relevations that go right to the top.
They have let out his leash over the past and now it will come back to bite them, he has friends in VERY high places and an awful lot of ammo.

Will be interesting what Jeremy's biography this year will say. Hehe.

All I will say is that where ever Clarkson and his co-presenters go I will follow. I watched Top Gear for the presenters not the content.

What did Oisin Tymon say when asked why Jeremy Clarkson was being fired?

"Beats me."

@Scouse what? It's like the have to have a female on a comedy panel show. The bbc is subject to scrutiny this days and getting three middle class white males to present a show would be rare now imo. You disagree?

You can just imagine what the new top gear will be like

Today, we road test three, yes, three mobility scooters! But fear not, it will be conducted by the Health and Safety Executive and the scooters will be speed limited.

We also ask three feminists which electric vehicles are best for breast feeding, and then invite members of Eastbourne's Derby & Joan Club to carry cakes in the back of them and gently race them back to the local homeless hostel before the post office closes.

We also put a cat in a reasonably priced cat basket.

As you know each week will be hosted by different presenters. This week it's the turn of Strictly Come Dancing.

Yay!

Firstly squirrel head will have to leave the planet once people realise his wholly uneccessary trip to AE was the tipping point.
Secondly the autopsy of the real reasons he was pushed will start to rip the BBC apart.

I can't believe the amount of grief Oisin is getting for this, so fuck, he may or may not have need to go to the A&E. He was physically and verbally attacked, not only in front of other colleagues but within the vicinity of others. Allowing Clarkson to get away with his childish tantrum would have been a far worse crime.

I'm struggling to understand why people are defending a grown man for assaulting someone simply because there wasn't any hot food.

Without JC there is no Top Gear
The Beeb now has to try to plug an inexorable hemorrhage in its balance sheet.
If they put the licence fee up they can feck off tbh

Love that

"Alan Yentob, BBC's creative director, has insisted Top Gear has a future and says he wants May and Hammond to continue working with the show"

Evidently Alan Yentob doesn't realise people that did watch Top Gear didn't tune in for the content, they tuned in to see 3 blokes have a laugh week in week out, they've lost those 3 blokes thus they have lost Top Gear.

Now that the facts are out I do think it is just that the BBC boot him, no question. You simply cannot physically assault someone and not expect to be punished.

I took issue with people presuming his guilt based on what they had read in heat magazine (or whatever) and the whole pretend outrage bollocks.

That being said, the whole thing has been very poorly handled by the hand wringers at the BBC and regardless of reason, Top Gear is now finished and they have lost a huge money spinner.

Clarkson (possibly/probably May and Hammond too) will go to Sky and give the show a refresh, new features, new test track etc (actually what Top Gear has needed for a while) it will be called something else obviously but it will be the same thing.

I'm off to trademark '3 cunts and a car'... obviously the name for the new show.

It will probably get its own channel, skydrive or some bollocks, Sky just love creating new channels for things that probably have an hour a week, at best, entertainment value, they did it for the F1.
