Tbh, I have high hopes for it, all PC of course, star in a Rallycross car looks good.
Chris Evans says new Top Gear will be 'less blokey' and have none of Jeremy Clarkson's 'naughty schoolboy' jokes

Then he's missed the point of why people watched Top Gear entirely. People didn't watch Top Gear for actual car advice, they watched it because it was 3 old blokes having a laugh, it was basically a man-child show that appealed to people that have a silly side, when Evans turns it into a show that appeals to OAP's, watch those ratings plummet.

Another thing is that they have stolen everything, the style, the audience , the Stig..star car...thats Clarksons and it feels just wrong to see.

The ending line as well... using that seems a bit crappy.

And Clarkson can't use any of it, I know he sold it years ago...but still, just not right.

Thought it was crap. Forced and not very funny.

That segment was fucking pure class...Clarksons chatting up the Olympic downhiller, while Hammond is has Spence all over him.

People were walking out of the live recording of the new Top Gear apparently, I doubt it'll last long at that rate.

So they had an opportunity to do something new, and did nothing new. They took Clarkson's setup and wedged in Evans, it so fucking did not work for me and the celebrity lap was just awful.

I said to my missus it was like your dog dying, then having him stuffed and taking his lifeless body out for a forced walk.

Edit: LeBlanc was actually pretty good, I liked segments (minus the Reliant bit), Evans was terrible.

Evans just doesn't have the same sense of humour as Clarkson, May and Hammond. I feel bad for LeBlanc in a way because he knew Top Gear was a great show so he'll have leapt at the opportunity and got saddled with Wanker Evans.

Oh dear, that wasn't very good at all. Le Blanc was OK on the Nomad bit but utterly wooden elsewhere and Evans was just dire.

Perhaps they need a few episodes to find that element that people enjoy. Give it some time.

There were elements that fell flat on their face, and some that showed some promise. I think that if they can stop trying to be like the old top gear, and stop Evans from trying to "work the crowd", they might get somewhere if they try to find their own place.

Evans was just doing his usual TFi, isn't everything funny and great, LeBlanc was ok, but the biggest problem was there for all to see, it isn't Clarkson and no one gives a shit what Evans thinks of cars or believes he has any inherent dislike of anything.
not good enough to make me watch it again, I'll let star in a car off, because there isn't any celebrity competition yet and it may prove to be a laugh as more stars overcook it in the mud.
I'd like to see LeBlanc with...anyone else really.
local indian chippy guys on the car was just a painful bit of forced inclusivity, expect some suitable minorities dropped in for no good reason every week.

i will have to say the challenges did feel real, pulling the ice cream vans looked to be a genuine race and the mountain climb, i felt they were actually getting stuck and trying their best outside of the obvious setup.

Nah the race thing was crap. The nomad thing was a rehash moto bike over car been done before. The dodge wws cringey. I disliked the pally lets wait and help matt. Only good thing i liked was th off road bits of the celeb thing.

So i hope they go for their own identity soon rather than forcing quips.
